Victory Over Binges

Seeking victory over binges.

Expect victory over binges.

Lord, I need victory over binges. I need Your help. I’m caught in a trap, a trap of my own making. Now it seems I can’t get out. Oh why do I go insane at night, especially when I’m tired?

Child, that’s when Satan knows it’s the best time to harass you, when you are tired. Tonight, when you get tired, just go to bed and rest. 

Habits need changing. And Child of Mine, this stronghold on you is so strong that you need My power to resist the temptation. Child, I can help you. 

But Lord, how? We’ve talked about this many times before. And I’m still trapped, unable to set myself free.

But Child, I can set you free. 

But Lord, how? You’ve suggested many things to me before. Then I get so encouraged and start out in victory. Then later, I fall right back into this trap of defeat.

Child, I will lift you out of this despair, this trap, this self-inflicted bondage. I will lift you out and set you free.

But Lord, how?

Child, just call My name.

Lord, when the thought comes to overeat, I don’t think. My mind is blank. All I focus on is what to eat. What do I want to eat?

Child, only I can fill this void you have. It is I who you need to fill you up. 

Lord, how?

Call on My name, Jesus. 

God will give you victory over binges.

Lord, could You give me a scripture from Your Word besides those I already know? I have head knowledge, but I just can’t seem to get myself out of this self-inflicted trap. I’ve dug this hole and jumped in for the pleasures within. Now I’m trapped and I can’t get myself out.

Child, I can get you out. 

But Lord, how?

Call on My Name. Ask for your deliverance in My name, the name of Jesus.  

— I will return her vineyards to her and transform the Valley of Trouble into a gateway of hope. She will give herself to Me there, as she did long ago when she was young, when I freed her from her captivity in Egypt. Hosea 2:15 NLT  

Child, you are now trapped in the Valley of Trouble and defeat. But I am your hope and you will sing of “Victory in Jesus”. And you will gain your victory just as you did many years ago.

Feed on My Word for there is where you will find your strength. You search My word each morning, but then zone out on your social media at night to relax. That’s why your mind goes blank. You have zoned out to relax. 

Now I command you – no more zoning out on social media at night for you must be alert and focused. You want success and victory. Therefore feed on My Word each night and it will renew your mind. 

Why did you think I told Joshua to mediate on it day and night? Weakness results from physical exhaustion.  And I want to build you up in your faith and your power to resist temptation. I want to make you strong.

So, to renew your mind and make you strong, feed on My Word day and night. Take it as medicine for your soul and your mind.

—- Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. Joshua 1:8 NLT

Through My Word, I will increase your self-control, self- discipline, and renew your mind. Then you’ll be feeding your mind wisdom and strength, faith and power. As you feed on My Word to build your spiritual muscles, it will make you strong indeed. You will emerge undefeated and victorious. 

Now here’s your challenge: Feed on My word for 40 days and nights. See how that works for you.

The Gluttony Monster

The Gluttony Monster

Lord, I think this gluttony monster comes to my house every evening. And when the compulsion from this monster hits, I don’t even stop to think. It consumes me.

I need more discipline, consistency, strength, and the power to say ‘No’ to this food obsession, this gluttony monster. I can’t change myself because I am powerless over myself.

But My Child, I have all the power you need.

Lord, My day starts out so good. I eat appropriate and sufficient. But then after supper, here comes this gluttony monster to consume my health.

Yes Child,  I see it all. My heart hurts for you. And I long to set you free. It is My will to set you free. 

So Lord, what can I do? I know You said to semi-fast for 40 days. But ever since that day, I’ve been invaded by this overwhelming compulsive to overeat. In fact, I’ve been eating like crazy.

I know You said, ‘Come to You’. But I haven’t stopped eating long enough to ‘come’ to You. Lord, I don’t know what to do.

I want to please You. I want to love You as I should. But here I am, all messed up.

I can pray words, “Create in me a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit”. But they are only words, just words, unless I change.

Child, I have watched you and I’ve been waiting for you even as you fell. But I’m always waiting to catch you. I will help you, for I have the power.

You will win over this addiction, over this gluttony monster. You will defeat this compulsion for I created you to be a victor. I created you for victory.

So Lord, what do I do?

Pray without ceasing. Every hour of every day come to Me. Check it off your time schedule if you must. But you must come to Me.  

Lord, I do want You to create in me a clean heart. And I long for a steadfast spirit before You. Fill me with Your sweet Presence daily and forevermore.

Child, I intend to. You will win over this compulsive gluttony monster. For I am THE WINNER and I created you to be a winner too. Therefore expect victory.

Be strong in the Lord

There are no perfect people, but God has already planned for your victory.

Expect victory. You will have your victory for I have already designed it. I am holding it in My hand. And you are a winner. You will win.

It may look like defeat to you. But when I look at you, I see a winner. You are Mine. You are a winner for I have already declared it so. 

Now get up and wash your face. Go forth today marching in your victory

Thank you Lord for not giving up on me.

Child, I never give up on any of My children. 

FEED OH THIS

You have already won a victory . . . because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. 1John 4:4 NLT

For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10: 3-4 ESV

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. . . . James 4:7-8

You Chose Another

You chose another.

You chose another. But My child, choose My Presence instead.

Child, you chose another. But you could have had My Presence last night. My child, I want you. Choose Me.

I’ve called you to a higher purpose other than to listen to others and eat your treats.

You could have had Me, but instead you chose another.

Oh Lord, I feel like such a failure.

You’re never a failure. Instead, you’re a lesson.

Child, you’re learning with new learning everyday and I want to teach you. It’s not your “to do” list. It’s not the voice of others . But it is I who will take you into your victory.

Victory is not getting it all done. Victory IS My Presence. I gave you a way out when your friend called. But you ate your snack afterwards.

Child, when you’re looking in the refrigerator or the cabinet for something to eat, what you’re really craving is My Presence.

My Lord.

You could’ve come to Me. But you chose another.

Oh Lord, I’m so messed up.

You chose another.

Choose My Presence, for I AM peace.

Child, come to Me and I will heal you. I’ll heal you both inside and out. It’s the inside of you, your spirit that determines your behavior and your actions.

Lord, help me.

Child, your mind is on too many different things. And you have much confusion, anxiety, fear, and busywork. You strive to get it all done. The highest call you have is stay in My Presence. That’s your highest calling, not your job, not your housework, and not your hobbies.

Instead, I’m your highest calling. Your attention is on too many different things. I want your focus on My Presence. Seek Me and I will supply for all your needs. You stress unnecessarily over many things.

You chose another. But I will lead you to your victory.

You chose another. But it is I who will lead you to your victory.

Child, as long as you have My Presence, you’ll have My peace. Have no worries for I’m holding you in My hands. . . And as is My will. . . It will be done.

Remember back when you used to snatch times, different times in your day to talk to Me? Do that again. Do it again.

You need Me. You need My Presence to direct you. Satan desires to destroy your future and the influence you have on others. But I will overcome. Now come to Me to a higher place of victory.

No longer walk in defeat for I have plans for you a hope and a future, not to harm you, but to prosper you.

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand. Psalms 37:23-24 NLT

Still A Day of Victory

Still A Day of Victory

Still a day of victoryLord, thank you for the joy of yesterday. (Written December 15, 2020.) It was only because You told me it was still a day of victory that I had any joy at all. Every time I thought of the electors voting it made me sad.

But then I remembered You said it was still a day of victory. And You even gave me an answer for that negative critical person.

But Lord, what now?

Child, keep believing, no  matter what your eyes see. Remember, “Don’t look at what you see. Instead, look at Me.”

Know this Child, I AM your source of victory. And I AM the winner. So rejoice for I WIN. Told you I was the Winner. 

But Lord, I don’t understand. How can You be the winner because it looks like the other side won?  

Child, I won! I AM the winner. So rejoice for this in the day the Lord hath made. Therefore rejoice. Today is still a day of victory. Never forget that. Everyday is a day of victory for you because I live in your heart. And I fill you with My love, My forgiveness, and My Holy Spirit. Therefore everyday is a day of victory.

Why do you worry about politics? know ye not yet that I AM in control of all things? Trust Me. Look to Me for I AM your King. Still a day of victory

The joy of the Lord is your strength. Therefore rejoice, be full of joy. 

Lord, I want You

Child, I want you. 

If only those who reject Me could know the joy I bring. Then they would gladly turn their hearts to Me. 

 Even when evil people think they win, they still have no true joy or peace. Their pleasure is short lived. 

But when those who are Mine perceive they have lost, they can still be full of My joy and My peace for I AM the Winner over all.

I grant all of Mine true victory. No matter what they are experiencing here on earth- I AM their source of victory. 

By the way, listen and believe the voices of the prophets for I speak to their hearts just as I speak to all those who are Mine.

Now rejoice the birthday of My Son for that was the beginning of total victory over all- your victory and the victory of all My children.

Rejoice. Peace and goodwill to all men. For I have come to save the world. I have come to save you, even from yourself and your selfishness. For I did not come to condemn the world. Instead, I came to save the world. 

Believe. Keep on believing. Then watch and see what I will do.  

Uh. . . Lord, I really messed up yesterday.

Yes Child, I saw it all. But know I am the God of second, million, trillion chances. Remember?

Yes Sir. 

Now get over it. Remember, “You’re never a failure, only a lesson.” 

I have plans for you, plans for a future and a hope. Therefore rejoice for this is the day the Lord hath made. So rejoice. Rejoice. 

Child, don’t long for greatness. For I long to be “great” in you. Long for My greatness to be in you.

Yes Sir. 

Child, I love you.

Lord, I love you too. 

Child, it is a new year for you coming. Rejoice, for it is a “New Thing” I am bringing forth. 

Lord, is it revival?

Yes My child. But it is and will be bigger than even you can imagine. Therefore rejoice.

Don’t watch your fake news for they are not My voice. Instead, be happy for I AM the winner over all you see and over all you hear. Overall, I declare I AM the Winner. 

Yes Sir. Thank you for talking to me.

Child, I talk to all those who will listen. Now hear what I say. Rejoice, for today is not a day of mourning. No, instead, it is a day of victory. Be happy for I AM the winner. Therefore, you are a winner too.

Words of Victory 

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!  Philippians 4:4 NKJV

For this is how much God loved the world- He gave His one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in Him will never perish but experience everlasting life. John 3:16 TPT

For judgement is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgement. James 2:13 NKJV

But the Lord is is His holy Temple; the Lord still rules from heaven. He watches everyone closely, examining every person on earth. Psalm 11:4 NLT

He will not crush the weakest reed or put out a flickering candle. Finally He will cause justice to be victorious. Matthew 12:20 NLT

We are stupid sheep

God Given Boundaries

God given boundaries

God given boundaries aren’t to punish or rob us from pleasure. Instead, these God given boundaries increase our self-control. Thereby increasing our confidence. Overall, if we stay within these boundaries, they’ll guarantee our total victory.

God given boundaries aren’t to helm us in. Instead they’ll bless us with peace and joy and increase our victories.

Who would have known? In reality, rules are good. They bless you with your personal victorious living.

Now Lord, I ask forgiveness for yesterday’s sins, especially the overeating. Not only did the consequences reveal themselves on the scales this morning, but the sense of shame hung itself around my neck.

Lord, I do want to make You proud. Overall, I want to please You in all things, even to what I eat. Thank you for not giving up on me.

Child, I will never give up on you. I never give up on any of My children. For I love each and every one right where they are. God given boundaries

 I have a plan for each and every life. It is a plan for their personal victory and abundant life. If only they would seek Me, then they’d find amazing love, real joy, and supernatural peace, even within the storms of life. After all, I AM what they are seeking for. I AM ALL.

Lord, I’ve tried so hard to eat correctly only to fail again. I’ve fasted, only to binge again after the fast. Lord, I’ve tried again and again only to fail over and over.

Today is the day of salvation. So make it your focus to walk in your victory for today, the victory I already have planned for you.

Thank you Sir.Lies or Truth

Child, I’m your source of strength. So stay within the boundaries of what I have already told you, three meals a day, no snacks, and half portions. As a result of staying  within the lines of My boundaries, you’ll gain victory versus extra weight. Then you’ll become the masterpiece I have planned for you to be.

Trust Me, for I know all. Trust Me, for I am your source of victory. Now come to the light of My glory. Child, for I AM your victory. So come to Me and allow Me to fill you with My Holy Spirit.

Yes Sir. Here I am. Totally, I give myself to You. Forgive my sins of self-pleasing. Help me to turn away from these sins of self. Also help me give my whole self to You and Your will for my life.

Here I am. I give myself to You. So do with me as You will. Guide me and lead me according to Your will . Thank you for another chance at life, the life You have planned for me. Overall, it’s a new life of victory with a new beginning.

Finally, thank you Lord for not giving up on me.

I pray that from His glorious unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit. Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. Ephesians 3: 16,17 NLT

Turnaround Victory

Turnaround victory

“Turnaround victory”

Child, remember those words I spoke to your heart?

Yes Lord, You said I’d have a turnaround victory. Then You instructed me to complete 40 days of semi-fasting. But I don’t think I can do it.

Child, know you can do all things with My help. My instructions are simple. Complete 40 days of just three meals a day, half portions, and no snacks. You’ve fasted in prayer before. So now consider this a 40 day fast.

You can do this. For I am with you and I am on your side.

Lord, there’s so many suffering now with so much heartache. And yet, here I am talking to You about food.

Child, when you give up extra food and eat half servings it’ll be a form of fasting. This’ll increase the power of your prayers. Just think how powerful your prayers would be for those suffering. Your prayers could bring a turnaround victory in your life and all those you intercede for.

I’m calling you to life of submission before Me. The real question is . . . are you willing to give up your food pleasure in exchange of an increase of My Presence within you?

Instead of being sedated, drugged, or sleepy due to overeating, you’d have an increased alertness of My Holy Spirit within you. This’ll increase your strength and power to pray without ceasing. Then your eyes and your ears would open to see My power working throughout the earth and to hear My voice speaking within your heart.

So what do you want, a life of sedated apathy or a life of alertness with excitement? If you’re looking for excitement, then live in My Presence with your life yielded to My Holy Spirit. That’s excitement indeed. Everyday is full of joy, peace, and miracles. An open heart sees many miracles of turnaround victory.

Fasting, even semi-fasting increases your ability to pray without ceasing. This doesn’t mean constantly praying your requests. Yes, I want your requests. But to pray without ceasing means constant communication with Me, not just during your so-called quiet time.

You’ll be aware of My Holy Spirit every moment of your day, guiding you every step you take and with every word you say. Eating in submission helps you focus on real life, not sedated life. As a result you’ll have turnaround victory.

So Child, what do you want?

Oh Lord, I want a life full of Your Presence.

Then you must surrender your life, along with your eating, to Me. I’m calling you to a full, exciting, fulfilled life, not a sedated life full of apathy. I’m calling you to a life on fire with excitement, peace, and joy. So what do you choose?

Lord, I want You. But I’m so weak and defeated.

Child, let the weak say I am strong.

How many people in the Bible were weak? But I used them in great and mighty ways to bring about turnaround victory. Just think, if all the weak people yielded themselves completely, I could fill them all with My Holy Spirit power. Now that would be a true turnaround victory.

Turnaround Victory

If only they knew the victories I have planned for them. . . If only they knew.

Child, I want you to live a life of victory, not defeat. I want all My children to live in complete victory, not defeat. That’s what I offer, turnaround and victory.

I long for My people to wake up and walk in victory, the victory I have planned for each one. They don’t have to trudge through this life of clay, instead they can walk through an exciting life of victory. And they get to choose.

Now Child, what do you choose? Choose well, My child. Choose well.

“Stay Home”- Victory Plan

Here’s part of my Victory Plan journal for the “Stay Home” order. Due to this mandate, for several weeks I’ve mostly ate and watched TV. So now I’ve gained over 10 pounds. How depressing.

Then last week God gave me a dream- I was in my classroom, my students were acting crazy, I had no lesson plan, and the principal walks in to observe me. I panicked. What am I going to do?- Then when I woke up and God spoke to my heart, “You need discipline and a plan.” (Note: I am a retired teacher.)

So I’m sharing my Victory Plan Journal for your “Stay Home” mandate. Hope it helps you as well. It’s free for you to print and use for yourself.

My goal is 40 days of victory, in eating and in life general. So here’s my plan, to work through this journal for 40 days. Presently I’m working on Day 5 and I’ve already lost 2 pounds. Yay!

I’ll post more Victory Plans next week. Hopefully this’ll help you begin 40 days of victory for your “Stay Home” mandate. I’m hoping soon we’ll be released from this order soon. Some states are opening up slowly and some states are extending their stay at home order. Hopefully soon, we can return to our so-called normal lives again. What is normal, anyway? What is our new normal?

One Small Step

One small step

One small step of obedience is all it takes to get to your victory. Then another small step is added to another and another and another until you reach your total victory.

But Lord, I don’t know what to do or even what to do.

Surrender is the key to your victory. Trust Me, My Child. With My help you can do all things, including lose weight and eliminate debt. All it takes is discipline and surrender.

Lord I have failed so much, so many times.

Then Child, it’s time for you to get up and start over afresh. I AM the God of new beginnings, new life, a new life of victory. 

Lord, I start out my days so well. But by nightfall, it’s “mess up” time.

Because Child, you don’t fight the temptation. You just give in. Learn to fight. With each battle, your strength increases. You are not to old to fight and win. After all, Moses was 80 when he started.

But Lord, I am not Moses.

But you are My Child. And I have a work for you just as I had for Moses. He had an assignment and so do you. Now get up, wash your face, and go forth in the assignment I have for you today. 

Yes Sir. But Lord, could You help me?

Child, know that I AM. But all it takes from you is one small step of obedience. Then this one small step builds on another and another until total victory is yours.

Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Joshua 1:7 NLT

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.            1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world- our faith. 1John 5:4 NKJV

Don’t you realize that you become the slaves of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. Romans 6:16 NLT

Cookies Of Shame

Cookies of shame, I’ve eaten them again. Not only were these cookies left over from Christmas, but they were bought at a 90% off sale after Christmas too. I thought I could just eat a few at a time. But Lord, here I am with cookie crumbs on my face. Ate too many. How do You stand me? I’m just like Esau. Only with me, it’s cookies instead of stew.

Child, I love you. And I’m not giving up on you for you are mine. I never give up on those who are Mine. You are marked with My Blood. No, you are not like Esau His heart was greedy. He wanted it all now. Jacob was cunning, but the heart of Esau was evil. He wanted power and was full of pride.

Credit Cards, Traps of Failure

Lord, those credit cards are traps of failure. Help me not use them today and to put You first in everything.

Seek HIs will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:6

I have failed You again Lord, and I’ve gotten caught up in so many distractions especially the “resale” business. I let it enslave me.  Resale sites on my cell phone became first in my life above all else and all others. I’ve spent hours just looking and looking at pictures of things people were selling and I bought some unnecessary things too.  I also listed stuff on these resale sites I wanted to sell. Never made much money, just enough to spend at the grocery store.

Then I spent the money on resale that I planned to use as a deposit on a missionary trip.  Instead of using it for the trip,  I bought a dining room table and a serving buffet that caught my eye. A credit card was used to buy all this. It was a compulsive buy and for a while my house was full of furniture. My dining room looked like a warehouse with two dining room tables,  two serving buffets, and for a while 18 dining room chairs. Don’t even ask. Compulsive buying is worse than compulsive overeating. A credit card can rob you of many blessings. At least, that’s what I think.       

Now my missionary trip is cancelled. Hubby, who puts up with my bad spending habits asked, “How are you going to get the money for that trip? You can’t put it on a charge card and I don’t agree with you going anyway.”  So there you go, trip over. I can’t help but wonder, if I didn’t have this out standing debt would he had agreed for me to go?

Child, your victory is on the way.

Lord, how can I be a witness? Why am I not crying over this lost missionary trip?  I have been so wrong about so much and sidetracked with so many things. My attention hasn’t been on seeking Your will. Now I’ve messed up and lost this opportunity. I do want to help others, but I don’t have the funds, especially now that I’ve spent money I don’t have buying what I don’t need.  There has been so much confusion here. I’m confused. How can I be so messed up?

This is a hard lesson. I’ve been causing myself stress due to my compulsive purchases and overwhelming debt What is Your purpose in all this? I have missed Your will again.

Child, you are learning to seek Me in all things. That is My will.

Lord, how do I pay for this credit card expense of new furniture I didn’t need? I have grandchildren to buy gifts for and now look at My hand. It’s empty.

Child, look at My hand. What do you see?

Lord, I see nail prints.

Child, I lost it all but I gained everything. Do you trust Me?

Yes Sir. (Hanging my head in shame.)

Then stop trying to figure out how to provide  for others and trust Me. Look to Me – for Me – not My hand, but look at Me. Seek My face for I am the supply for all your needs. Lord, I depend on You for You are my supplier, not those credit cards.
