This is a picture of my grandfather, Gardener Davis. He died in 1951. The only thing I have from him is this picture given to me by my Mother. But the greatest treasure I have from him is his statement to my Mother, which she passed on to her children, “Never Give Up.”
It’s been crazy all my life. What about yours? You won’t believe what happened? Usually I weigh myself every morning, first thing, after I wake up. So this Sunday, after waking up around 3 am. I weighed myself and the scales went up two pounds. WHAT? How can that be? I don’t believe it. It can’t be, not after all that food I did not eat! No! Can’t be, It just can’t be!
God answers prayers for true love. But first of all, remember God’s love is the most wonderful love you will ever experience. He loved me even when I looked like this-weighing 241 pounds. Then He answered my prayers for the love of my life.

While dating, I prayed seeking God’s will. Handsome’s blue eyes and sweet smile won my heart, but I still sought God’s will. After falling in love, I continued to ask God for His wisdom concerning this relationship.

This is my advice for all who seek true love. To begin with, invite God in your life. Ask Him to fill your heart with His love. It’s the greatest love you’ll ever experience. Then seek God’s will concerning your relationship with another love in your life. since God has a plan for your life, it will include your future mate.
Also I read in God’s Word (The Bible) that He created marriage to be between one man and one woman. Therefore that is what I believe fully. Just thought I’d let you know how I feel.
Yep, he’s been my best friend since I was 15 years old. That’s 50 years of friendship, y’all!

Life fasting – What’s that? A while back I read of someone going on a life-fast from sugar. To me, the dessert queen, that sounds impossible. In fact if I decided to life-fast from sugar it’d just be setting me up for failure. After all, a wise man (woman) knows her (his) limitations.
So Lord, what do I do? How do I eat now?
My Child, haven’t I’ve told you over and over, “Look to Me, seek Me, listen and follow My instructions. Focus on My will for your food and your life too.
Cookies of shame, I’ve eaten them again. Not only were these cookies left over from Christmas, but they were bought at a 90% off sale after Christmas too. I thought I could just eat a few at a time. But Lord, here I am with cookie crumbs on my face. Ate too many. How do You stand me? I’m just like Esau. Only with me, it’s cookies instead of stew.
Child, I love you. And I’m not giving up on you for you are mine. I never give up on those who are Mine. You are marked with My Blood. No, you are not like Esau His heart was greedy. He wanted it all now. Jacob was cunning, but the heart of Esau was evil. He wanted power and was full of pride.
