The Truth Comes Out- Part Two

The truth comes out. And this is how it all started – Part Two.

(For Part One, see previous post.)

Previously, I’d arranged scheduled times for our little Bible study group (ladies who contacted me via social media) to interact via FaceTime. As we began, they asked me to lead our group with prayer.

Then we took turns reading Bible scriptures. But they always wanted me to read out loud some passages they sent.

They said they needed to hear my English to help strengthen their language skills. Their passages about God seemed a little strange, but I couldn’t find anything I knew was incorrect.

So I continued reading the passages out loud. When I asked them to forgive my Southern dialect, they just giggled. I thought, “How cute.” After I read each passage, they’d say, “Let’s ponder what it means to us.” Okay. Ponder. I haven’t heard that word in a long time. Cute.

Then we’d each take a turn explaining what the passage meant to us. (After pondering.) I couldn’t find anything particularly wrong with these passages, even though it felt strange. But I couldn’t figure out why.

Also they’d send me these little videos and later asked if I understood them. The videos were a little odd. But again, I just couldn’t put my finger on it.

I looked over these passages and couldn’t find anything that stood out. But I just kept having those feelings of question. Were they trying to convert me? To what?I was already a Christian. They said they were Christian too. So what is it? Why do I feel so strange about this? What’s their motive?

By the third week, we now had three ladies and myself as part of our “Bible study” group.

Finally, after seeking God’s direction, I asked them, “To you, who is Jesus?” Followed by, “Do you believe there is a heaven and a hell?” I had gotten these questions from my “Share Jesus Without Fear” App. Here’s a link explaining how this program works : Share Jesus Without Fear.

They answered correctly, “Jesus is God,” and “Yes, we do.”

But when I asked, “What’s more important to you, the Bible or these passages?”

(Part three- coming forth next post. Stay tuned.)

And Jesus, answering them, began to say: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and will deceive many.  Mark 13:5,6 NKJV

And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. for many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and , ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore do not go after them. Luke 21:8 NKJV

Don’t be fooled by those who speak their empty words and deceptive teachings telling you otherwise. This is what brings God’s anger upon the rebellious! Ephesians 5:6 TPT

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 NKJV
