You Need Endurance

Endurance. Yes child, you need more endurance.”

Lord, last week I blew it. What was supposed to be victory ended up in defeat. Overall I wanted to please You, but eventually I ended up pleasing  my flesh.

Then I read about how we, as Christians,  need more endurance. Later I feel asleep and dreamed of a horse, a beautiful brown, healthy horse running across the field in front of me.

“Oh, he’s beautiful!” I exclaimed as he ran by. Then I woke up. What a strange dream.

After getting up, I decided out of curiosity to google, “What do dreams about brown horses mean?”

Hmmmm, interesting. One site claimed, “Dreaming of a brown horse means you’re highly motivated and your ambition is high. Even though there are many obstacles, you’re ready to overcome them. Dreaming of a beautiful horse means a lot of success is expecting to come your way. So you don’t have to worry.”

That’s nice. I’ll take it.

Other sites stated:

“A horse in a dream symbolizes freedom, energy, strength, endurance, stamina, power, but also hard work.”

“Running horses symbolize freedom and release of repressed energy.”

“A dream about a beautiful horse indicates success and prosperity.”

“A brown horse symbolizes defiant ambition and driving forces. You are highly motivated and resistant to obstacles. You may be shedding problems and ‘dead weight’ as you work toward a goal.”

Oh Wow! Lord, I’ll take all of that. But what do You say?

For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. Hebrews 10:36

. . . Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking into Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2

Lord, I believe. Help me to run this race before me with endurance onto the victory You already have planned for me. Thank you for not giving up on me. Amen

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.          1 Corinthians 15:57

New Day of Victory

Today’s a new day of victory for you, My child. In fact, you’re going to have both new victory and new strength through My power.

After all, it’s the power of My shed blood that gives My children victory. Self is your greatest enemy and it’s My blood that defeats your enemy.

Now come to Me. Allow Me to control your “self”. Give yourself to Me. Then I can set you free with more freedom and more victory than you ever thought possible.

Here I am, Lord. I give my “self” to You. Do with me as you please. Only help me tonight when the gluttony monster shows up.

Child, watch and see what I do. Today is a new day of victory for you.  This victory is guaranteed through total surrender. Now surrender your “self” and it’s fleshly desires for gratification to Me. As you surrender, I will increase your strength with My strength. Thereby increasing your victory. See, your victory is guaranteed through the power of My victory.

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.            1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV

Before you do anything, put yourself totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed. Proverbs 16: 3 TPT

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”  Mark 9:23 NKJV

————————————

Thank you Lord. So far, it’s been seven (7/40) days of victory both in my eating and the routine of life. Everyday has been a new day of victory throughout this week. Now I’ve lost three pounds while eating in submission to Your will instead of mine. In addition to weight loss, I’ve experienced other blessings as well. Too many to list here. Thank you Lord for granting me your love and mercy, a second chance with a victory life.

So Expect Victory

You said, “Expect victory.” So thank you Lord, for the peace and relief I feel today.

Child, I am peace. Therefore My Presence brings peace. Knowing I work out all things for My glory and your good brings peace. Overall trusting Me with your worries, your problems, and letting go takes the load off you. This brings you relief.  Continue reading So Expect Victory

God Winked At Us

God winked at us. Has He ever winked at you? Don’t you love it when He does. Today I’m sharing with you a true story of how God winked at us.

To begin, my computer broke. It won’t let me get on internet. So I’ve been writing on an IPad and a cell phone. Bummer. Techie Son said, “Mom, your computer is nine years old. Time to replace.”

Since I have no savings, (Yes, I know. Not smart.) I prayed, “Lord, what do I do?  Do I charge it or what?

Don’t charge. Buy and resale. In addition, sell what you have.

So I listed this baking set for sale:

A lady (A) FB Marketplace wanted them. So I arranged delivery/meet time.

My friend (B) at church also wanted them too. But I told her they were already reserved for someone else.

Then Lady A sent me a text saying she was sick and wouldn’t be able to get the dishes. So I let my friend at church know she could now buy the dishes. This thrilled her. After all, she had a matching pitcher and loved  those dishes. So we made arrangements for delivery.

My friend at church.

Then on Sunday before the scheduled delivery, my friend sat by me in choir.  She had tears in her eyes as she explained, “The Lord woke me up at 1a.m. and told me to buy those dishes. But He also told me to give them to Lady A for free. I’ve got to do what God told me to do. So here’s the money. Keep the change.” Wow!

So I texted Lady A and told her the good news. She was amazed and thrilled someone would do this for her. We arranged a delivery time. That was my part, make the delivery, be the chain the middle, and see the smiles of both ladies. (Plus I got paid. Keep the change.)

Lady A

God winked and we all got blessed. Thank you Lord.

Has He ever winked at you?

Pause in His Presence

Pause in His Presence, that’s where peace is found. The following is from Psalm 46, The Passion Version.

I feel the most important words in this Psalm are, “Pause in His Presence.” That’s where our strength is, in His Presence.

Psalms 46-

“God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge! You’re a proven help in time of trouble— more than enough and always available whenever I need you.

So we will never fear even if every structure of support were to crumble away. We will not fear even when the earth quakes and shakes, moving mountains and casting them into the sea.

For the raging roar of stormy winds and crashing waves cannot erode our faith in you. – Pause in his presence

God has a constantly flowing river whose sparkling streams bring joy and delight to his people. His river flows right through the city of God Most High, into his holy dwelling places.

God is in the midst of his city, secure and never shaken. At daybreak his help will be seen with the appearing of the dawn.

When the nations are in uproar with their tottering kingdoms, God simply raises his voice and the earth begins to disintegrate before him.

Here he comes! The Commander! The mighty Lord of Angel Armies is on our side. The God of Jacob fights for us! – Pause in his presence

Everyone look! Come and see the breathtaking wonders of our God. For he brings both ruin and revival. He’s the one who makes conflicts end throughout the earth, breaking and burning every weapon of war.

Surrender your anxiety! Be silent and stop your striving and you will see that I am God. I am the God above all the nations, and I will be exalted throughout the whole earth.

Here he stands! The Commander! The mighty Lord of Angel Armies is on our side! The God of Jacob fights for us! -Pause in his presence”

Psalms 46:1-11 TPT

Isn’t this just beautiful! Let us behold His glory! And praise His Name!
