The Call of Food Lust*

And He said to the human race, “The fear of the Lord- that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding ” Job 28:28

Look at me. Don’t you see me?

Oh baby, don’t I look good.

You just want to eat me with a spoon.

I’m so sweet and creamy.

Come on now. You know you want me.

I’m waiting here just for you.

All alone here by myself,

The last of my sweetness.

Hey you. . . come here.

I’m calling your name.

You know I’ll give you pleasure.

I’ll make you feel so good.

You know I will fill you with joy.

My pleasure is waiting just for you.

I’m just yours, all to yourself.

You’ll love it. Umm . . .so good.

Hey you . . . come here.

You know you want me.

It’s the holidays, you can overeat now.

Everybody else does, so it’s ok.

Don’t be so strict, relax a little.

Just one little snack won’t hurt you.

Everybody gains a little now and then.

Oh come on, I’m the last piece.

If you eat me now, no one will ever know.

It’ be our little secret, I won’t tell

Lord Jesus, HELP! I need you now.

Do you hear how that cake calls to me?

Help me resist this temptation.

Turn My eyes away from this forbidden snack.

You said that if I ask for strength and wisdom You would

provide a way of escape. HELP!

This last piece is hard to resisit.

I want it gone, never to torture me again.

Thank you, Lord, for I know You will help me.

My Child, I love you and I will provide a way of escape for you. While you drink your warm tea, focus on the warmth of My love for you. My Presence is more satisfying and sweeter than any sweetness you will find on earth. Come be with Me. Commune with Me. Allow Me to fill you with Myself.

That cake will not satisfy desire for love, for only I am the true source of love. I have come to bring you fullness of life. Overabundance of cake will only bring you abundant size and tight clothing. But I will bring you true love, true joy, and true peace. I will fill your spirit to overflowing with My love. Come to Me, My Child.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1

Dr. God

Good morning, Dr. God. Yesterday, I remembered how You helped me lose 90 pounds back in 2013. So now it’s occurred to me to ask You for another victory. It seems like I need Your guidance all throughout my lifetime.

So now I’m coming to You again for Your counseling. After all, You created this body and You already know everything about it, including how to help me lose this extra weight. I’m seeking Your advice. Because You are now my Dr. God. I guess You should have been all along.

Child, if you stay off from scrolling and focus more on talking with Me and absorbing My Word, then you would become stronger walking forth in your victory. After all, I have already planned victory for you.

Child, you can read My word and other books as well. But the most important thing is for you to communicate with Me. Yes, keep your eyes and your heart for Me. Then I will lead you the correct way to your victory. Seek conversation with Me and read My Word versus your social media. Keep My Words in front of you. Store them in your heart.

Today I have set before you blessings. Actually, everyone gets to choose blessings or curses. With Me on your side helping you with your battles, you will win. But curses are living life without assistance or guidance. No help. So, if you choose your own way, you get what you get with no help. Wouldn’t you rather have My power on your side?

Yes Sir, I do want You on my side.

Then My child, choose to walk in My Presence. Stay close to Me and I will lead you to your victory, the one I specially designed for you.

Yes, My child, I want you to seek My voice over the voices of others. Yes, even those you listen to who are quoting My Word. In fact, I want you to go to My Word for yourself. Indeed, I want you to talk to Me for yourself, not through the voice of others. And I want to lead you Myself, instead of others leading you for Me. In fact, I want you to come to me, seeking knowledge, wisdom, and direction, not another.

Lord, help me put off these deceitful lusts and renew my mind so I desire more of You and walk in your ways. Thank you for Your mercy.

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. and this is the victory that has overcome the world- our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 1John 5:4-5

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Power To The Weak

He gives power to the weak and to those who have no might, He increases strength. Isaiah 40:29

Child, I will give you power and strength. In fact, I am increasing your strength, day by day, hour by hour, and minute by minute. Praise and worship will bring forth your victory, for it is already on your way. “Victory is Mine,” says the Lord, “Victory is Mine.”

Look, I am giving this land to you! Go in and occupy it. . . Deuteronomy 1:8

Child, I told the Israelites to occupy their land of victory. I say to you “Go and occupy your victory.” In fact, I have already given you the victory. But you must go and possess it. Fight for it.

Just as the Israelites had to defeat their enemies, you have to fight and defeat yours as well. Fight your enemies of discouragement, negativity, depression, laziness, and mediocrity. But know this, I am with you every step of the way helping you as you go.

I am giving you the power to overcome your weaknesses. In fact, I am increasing your strength every day. Now dry those tears, get up, and go forth in your victory, the one I’ve already prepared for you. Rejoice, My child for your victory is at hand.

Look! He has placed the land in front of you. Go and occupy it as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has promised you. Don’t be afraid! Don’t be discouraged! Deuteronomy 1:21

Child, I gave them their land. And I have given you your victory. Now go up and possess it. Do not fear or be discouraged.

Will Small Decisions Bring Victory?

“It is with every small decision you make that determines the big victories.” Yes, My child, you heard that right. So, focus and choose wisely. The right choices will bring you success and victory. Listen as I explain.

It is the continued piling up of correct small decisions, one after another, that brings true total victory.

Your weight now is the result of many wrong choices. But as you continue choosing wise food choices that are beneficial for your body, then your body will self-correct and your weight will begin to decrease.

But My child, it’s so important to remember that it’s through My Word that you will find strength and wisdom to make the right choices. Faith will help you and faith comes by hearing the Word of God.

The five senses of sight, touch, taste, hearing, and smell were all created by Me. I created them all, each one for a purpose. But it’s the hearing of the Word of God within your spirit that increases your faith and your wisdom.

Therefore, to make your way successful and prosperous meditate, read, speak, and listen to My Word, My book of love for you. Consume it. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Speak My words so your spirit, mind, soul, and your body will hear it.

Consider your choices and choose wisely My child. If only you knew the truth of what I offer unto you, then you would not hesitate or question. Now choose wisely. Those little decisions will either lead you to victory and success or mediocrity. So, choose wisely. What will you choose?

And if anyone longs to be wise, ask God for wisdom and He will give it! He won’t see your lack of wisdom as an opportunity to scold you over your failures, but He will overwhelm your failures with His generous grace. James 1:5 TPT
