Stop and ask

Lord, thank you for Your forgiveness for what I did last night. You do forgive me, don’t You?

Yes, Child, I do. But use My wisdom when you’re struggling with temptation. Stop, drop, and ask, pray. Ask Me for strength. Because I will provide all the strength you need.

That’s where you messed up. You tried to resist in your own strength. Child, you don’t have enough strength on your own yet. But you will, for I am building up your strength, one day at a time, one moment at a time, and one experience at a time.

Next time, remember to stop and ask. You’ve heard of stop, drop, and roll when caught in a fire. Now, I say to you, stop and drop what you’re doing. Then pray and ask for strength and wisdom. And I will provide exactly what you need for that exact moment.

Lord, when can I quit this extra job?

Child, I’ve already chose the exact time and date. So learn to trust Me for I will lead you to victory. What if I’m using this extra work to bring forth blessings for you?  Look at how much alone time you have on this job to talk with Me.

When you’re by yourself, quote scriptures or sing praise songs. Then you’ll grow stronger with each word you repeat to yourself. They’ll imprint on your heart and mind. And you’ll get stronger each day.

When My work within you is complete, then I’ll release you to serve Me in another way. In fact, this job is just a holding tank. Just as your friend was in rehab, you’re in My spiritual rehab.

In fact, I’m using this job as My rehab to excersise your faith muscles and make you stronger.

Then, when I know you’re ready, I’ll bring you out as a testimony for My glory. Be assured of this, that day is coming quickly. Because I’m doing a mighty work of healing within your soul. and I’m making you stronger each day.

So keep praying for the victories of others. Then your victory will come forth as well.  And know this, . . . you are working for Me.
