Today, I am beginning a new walk with You, Lord. fill me Your Spirit, instead of the abundance in my belly now and make me strong in Your Presence.
You are the God of second chances, in my case, the God of a million chances. How I long to walk in the steps You have ordered, not my own but according to Your will.
Lord, I have learned through experience that when I follow my way and my plan that I get overwhelmed and overstressed. Then I overeat to compensate. But when I honestly, sincerely, and completely surrender myself to You, a feeling of peace I can’t explain fills me. You grant me a calm, quiet, serene spirit in the midst of all these storms of life.
When I consider the steps of my past, I remember how You were with me in those tough places of life. You brought me comfort, strength, and peace as I gave myself to You. I rest in these memories of peace.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand. Psalm 37:23-24 NKJV
I also remember when I was walking in my self reliance and roadblocks came I fell apart in panic, anxiety, and self- pity. Help me remember to stay focused on Your Presence throughout these times, for with You is strength, peace, wisdom, understanding, and serenity. Help me to stay surrendered in obedience to You and Your will for me.
Thank you for loving me in spite of my selfish ways for this I am grateful and amazed. Lord, I have never felt criticized by You, but I have felt Your silence as You stood back and allow me to have my way. Lord, Your silence is punishment enough. As King David said when he repented from his sin,
“Create in me a clean heart, O God. and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your Presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit.” Psalm 51:10-12 NKJV
To these words, I say, “Yes and Amen.” Lord, I love You, help me to obey You in all things without question or hesitation. Let my ears hear as You speak.
Your ears shall hear a word behind you saying, “This is the way, walk in it.” Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21 NKJV
