Lord, make me full of Your Holy Spirit? I want to be full of You this 2020. Show me how I can get full of You.

Above All Else, The Way to Find Victory

 

To begin with, one must believe I died just for them, for their personal sins. And that I died so they may live. They must also believe after I spent 3 days in the tomb of death, that I rose again to eternal life. Then they must repent, and ask forgiveness for their sins.  (When you ask, I promise to forgive.) Finally, one must turn away from their sins and surrender their hearts and their lives to Me.

Some people forget this part. They continue on with their sinful life choices, choosing to live for their own selfish pleasures instead of seeking My will for their life.

Some people have the misconception that they can say a few prayerful words, shake a preacher’s hand,  and all is well. They believe the words of that prayer saves them. Not so. 

It’s a total heart and life surrender. It is My Presence within their heart. True repentance is a complete turning away from sins. It’s a total life change.

Prayerful words do not save you. But a real relationship with Me does. One must surrender their heart to ME. It’s all about a relationship with Me. 

None Are Excluded From His Love

I love ALL and exclude none from My love. But some exclude Me for they choose their own fleshly self-pleasures over My love. They reject My plan for their life and My love for them. They reject Me. Their life choices and rejection of My love for them grieves My heart for I know what they could have- eternal life and complete peace, My peace.

I long for My children to accept My love. But I will never force My love on anyone. Although I am the eternal, omnipotent God, I allow My children free will to choose whether to accept My love for them or not.

Those who choose My love will live forever in My love. Those who reject My love will forever be in rejection. I call to them, but they close their ears to My voice.

They chose eternal damnation. They determined the consequences of their life choices. 

But now I reach out to offer My love to you. What do you choose?

Within your love, Lord, I choose You. I want Your love and I want Your will in my life. So make me full of Your Presence, and Your Holy Spirit.

Get Full

Lord, I want a new testimony for 2020.

Child, you shall have one. Because I’m a God of new beginnings and second chances. As a matter of fact, that’s why I died on that cross, to bring forth new life for all.

Therefore remember these words, “Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19

(Note: I can ask this because I have been obese most of my adult life. And I’m 30 pounds overweight now. So isn’t it nice that we can talk to our Lord Jesus about anything and He doesn’t condemn us for asking silly questions.)

Last Friday, the scales went down. Wow! It’s a miracle! During two days I ate three meals with chicken & dumplings, green bean casserole, and squash casserole. And I actually lost weight. Wow! That’s not what I expected! But if I can, then you can too.

On Wednesday and Thursday of last week, I had two different groups of ladies to come eat a meal with me. Yes, that’s what I served them. So much for low-calorie food. I was going for large volume with lower cost to serve 16 ladies. Even though I ate small portions, I never expected to lose weight. Wow!

Child, I told you that if you seek My will and follow My advice, then you’d lose weight.

Wow! Lord, it’s amazing! Last week after having chicken and dumplings for three different meals, I actually lost weight. I can’t believe it.

Child, you sought My advice. Then you listened to My instructions for your portion size. Child, why do you doubt Me? For I know exactly what I’m doing. After all, I’m The Creator.

I created food, although you enjoy mixing up my natural ingredients with other stuff. I also created you body and I know not only what you should eat and not eat, but I also know how much you should eat.

So even if it’s not considered a “diet” food, (chicken & dumplings) if you follow My advice concerning portions size, you will still benefit with weight loss. The key to your success is to seek My will first, then listen to My guidance, trust Me to know what is best and then follow how I lead you. 

Remember that fruit and vegetable diet you tried a few years ago. You ate natural foods, but still gained weight. You gained 5 lbs. in a week. Volume eating of oranges was not good for your body even though it is a natural fruit. 

At that time, you weren’t seeking My advice. Instead you were trying every man-created diet of the month. 

Child, it’s better that  you seek My advice and follow My instructions for I know what is best for your body.

Okay Lord, but now I have two pots of chicken and dumplings left. What do I do with them?

Note: I gave them away. But I’m still amazed that the scales went down 2lbs. Wow!

FEED ON THIS

Lord, even though I ate only two meals today, (three, if You count the apple at breakfast), I gained 2 lbs. in one day. Now how could this be? I don’t understand. I’m so disappointed.

Here I am eating correctly, and then gain weight. I haven’t had any desserts for 23 days, even through Thanksgiving and Christmas parties. None, not even one bite. Lord, what gives?

Child, even though you followed My instructions,  some of your portions were rather large. I suggest you cut them down in size. You could also choose to cut out starches. Definitely increase your water intake. Exercise too.

Lord, how do I know this is You and not me from all these years of struggling with my weight and dieting experiences? If I succeed at losing this regained weight, how can I say it was because of You and not in my own power?

Because Child, we both know you have no power to resist food temptations. You have already proven that by your past record. But now, even though it will require a fight, these food temptations will end. 

You will win because of My power within you. I will fill you  with My power to say ‘No’ to foods not good for your body. Also I will provide you the power to say ‘Yes’ to foods that are good for your body.

Therefore you will know it is only through My power that you can win this war, this life-time struggle with food compulsion/addiction. But know this, My Child, you will win because I AM on your side. You will win. Expect your victory. Don’t look at what you see. Instead look at Me and I will see to it you win this victory. For I am Victory indeed!

Those missed placemats were not misplaced blessings. Instead they were blessings of victory. Let me share another conversation with My Lord. Then you’ll know how.

My Conversation With My Lord- Part Two

Lord, . . . do You mind if we talk about those placemats again? You obviously sent me there to that Thrift store and I held them in my hand. Yes, they were all bundled up with rubber bands, but I held them in my hands. So why didn’t I open them?

I’m looking at Romans 8:28. How’s this working out for my good? Was it punishment for overeating to much Cole-slaw or that one extra piece of catfish? Wait, . . . it was that one bite of Hubby’s pie?

Lord, I admit I took that bite without thinking. So are the missed placemats my punishment? What do You want me to learn from this?

Disobedience always costs. If not in punishment, then it costs in missed blessings. Was that it?

At this moment I don’t care about those placemats, I just want this feeling of intense regret to go away.

Not Misplaced Blessings

To begin with, disobedience will cause one to miss out on My blessings. But that was not this case. Now, let’s consider together the results of this supposed missed blessing.

First of all, you’ve learned to focus on My Presence. Second, now you know to look for and expect blessings. Now let’s examine what happened yesterday in your kitchen.

Uh. . . the granddaughters and I cooked some desserts for upcoming thanksgiving Day.

Yes, and how many desserts did you taste?

Uh . . . not one bite.

I see. As you looked at the placemats on your table, you remembered the pain. Didn’t you?

Yes Sir.

Now consider this. Those placemats are not missed blessings. Instead they are blessings of power and victory. They are visable reminders of your vow of 40 Days of Victory for you.

Yesterday you had victory while cooking all those desserts. Those placemats are helping provide you strength throughout your Thanksgiving family feast to resist all the temptations coming forth. 

So now you can appreciate these placemats are indeed not misplaced blessings, but rather powerful strong blessings of victory. I sent them as gifts of power and strength to you, My child. 

Thank you Lord, and please forgive all my doubts and whining. Help me to please You in all I do, say, and think. I give my life to You, my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Blessings of Victory

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them. Romans 8:28 NLT
