Semi-fasting – Lord, help me understand. For one thing, why am I not losing weight? Given that I’ve only been eating one main meal a day for several days now, I should be losing weight. But I’m at a standstill. In fact I haven’t lost any weight? Why? I did drink milk for breakfast and have soup for the remaining meal. Those scales are staying the same. Lord, I do want to lose weight and it’s just not happening. Help me understand what is going on with my body.
Child, trust Me, not those scales. You said you were semi-fasting for direction and for My will to come forth. Now you complain of no weight loss. Why? What was your purpose for this semi-fast? Was it to seek a closer walk with Me? Or was it just for your weight loss?
Overall Lord, I do desire a closer walk with You and to know I’m walking in Your will. But Lord, I want weight loss too.
Child, you must choose what is most important to you. Is it My will, My guidance, and My Presence? Or is it a lower number on your scales?
Lord, I need You. I want you. After all, we both know I can’t live without You. Above all, I do want more of Your Presence.
Then My child, you must let go of those scales. Don’t get on them until after Christmas. Since I want you to learn trust, you are to go on a ‘trust’ walk with Me throughout your day. Then you’ll learn how to trust Me. And you’ll grow stronger in My Presence.
You’ve surrendered your eating to Me through semi-fasting. Now surrender those scales to Me. And trust that I will bring about your victory.
Yes Sir.
