As A Man Thinks

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7

If you think you’re beaten, you are.

If you think you dare not, you don’t.

If you’d like to win, but think you can’t,

It’s almost a cinch you won’t.

If you think you’ll loss, you’re lost.

For out in the world we find

Success begins with a fellow’s will.

It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you’re outclassed, you are.

You’ve got to think high to rise.

You’ve got to be sure of yourself before

You can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go

To the stronger or faster man.

But sooner or late, the man who wins,

Is the man who thinks he can.

(W.D. Wintle)

I bought a cross-stitch piece at an estate sale which contained this poem. So much truth. We will attempt nothing unless we suspect we can.

When you stand on the scales, do you think it’s possible to lose that extra weight?  When you try on that special outfit that just a little tight and if you lose 10 pounds, you can wear it proudly. Do you think you can?

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7

    1. Lorie, I say “Share away.” I bought this cross-stitch at an estate sale and fell in love with it myself. Thank you for the honor of sharing, Deborah

    1. Susie, my dear friend,

Just keep starting over. Failure is not falling down, failure is refusing to get up and start over again. Our God is a God of a million, trillion second chances. I know He keeps giving me chances. At least I’ve haven’t been struck by lightening yet. LOL!
