Oh man, . . . I looked at that chocolate cake setting on my kitchen counter! My friend brought it over and my mother in law is eating it, but she eats little small slivers. I have not wanted any of it until now. . . As I just walked by, it called my name!
Wait!. . . That will be my victory cake! I will have another victory! That cake will be just another notch in my belt, another notch of victory over this battle! Thank you Lord for this victory cake that I will not eat, thank you! It is more exciting not to eat it! Praise You, Lord, praise You!
(My child, I am calling you to a life of victory! Victory that is living, breathing, walking, focusing on My Presence! You will find that your life will be “sweet” with My Presence. No matter the circumstances or people, you will experience a “new sweetness” of My Presence if you chose to “feed” on me versus those man-made pleasures. Yes, it is pleasurable to taste the sweetness of your deserts or the salty taste of your snacks! Yes, it is pleasurable, but My child, I offer unto you a greater pleasure, the pleasure of My Presence! Which will you choose?)
Lord, now I am strong in my resistance to overeat. It could be because I am at peace now. But as the day proceeds, my resistance weakens. I have given in to my fleshly desires in the past, but not today!
(My child, I am calling you to a “fasted” lifestyle. That is why the struggle is always in your face. Satan knows the power of your prayers as you walk in victory over your flesh. I am calling you to live a “fasted” lifestyle to gain victory over your flesh.)
But Lord, how? In the past, I would start well in the morning, make it thorough lunch, and even eat a wholesome supper. But then at night, it would seem as though the “gluttony monster” controlled me! Then I would just consume whatever I could find available, preferably sweets! Lord, I have even binged on bread, with sugar and butter because I couldn’t find anything else.
(My child, feed on Me three times a day and for an evening snack. Then once you have become filled up of My Presence, you can feed My sheep.)
— You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in YAH, the Lord is everlasting strength. Isaiah 26:3, 4 NKJV
— Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:7-8,10 NKJV
—Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those that love Him. James 1:12 NKJV
