Joy Of The Lord

Posted on by

Joy of the Lord is your strength

Remember, the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Child, the joy of the Lord is your strength. I will lead you today. But you must listen for My voice  as I speak to your heart. Trust Me, and obey as I lead you. Especially remember, the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Lord, thank  You for the peace I now feel.

Child, your peace came from obedience. You know, . . . trust and obey.

Lord, help me bring You honor and glory.

Child, you are.

Lord, I gave up that project. And I hate I gave it up. Because I could have been somebody and I could have had a ministry.

But My Child, you do have a minstry, your family and those I put you in contact with. So be happy with these I’ve given unto you to minister to. After all, who are you working for? Is it for your glory, or Mine?

Oh Lord, I want to work for your glory.

Then My Child, minister to those I place in your path.

But Lord, dealing with some of these people is so difficult. Lead me, teach me. Really, I can’t deal with these people without Your guidance and Your wisdom.

My Child, look back at your prayers for these. Look at the good that happened. I am indeed working all things out for good.

So let go of your worries, even about the feelings of others. Look to Me. Allow Me to guide your steps, your ways, and your words.

Lord, help me.

My Child, don’t worry about pleasing others. When you seek My will, to please Me above all else, then I will work out all things for your good and My glory.

In fact, I am working out all things now. So let go of your worries and trust Me.

Not Performance Based God

I'm not a performance based God

I love you, My Child. Even when you don’t love yourself, I love you more than you can imagine.

Child, remember I’m not a performance based God. Rather, I am a loved based God. And I love you just as you are, warts and all. You’re too hard on yourself. Yes, you strive too much, you worry too much, and you self-criticize too much.

Child, just focus on worship and praise. Then all will fall into place as it should, for I am in charge of all things. And I \AM working out all things for your good and My glory.

Trust Me in all things. Then watch and see what I will do. After all, I split the Red Sea for the Israelites to walk through. Do you think the issues in your life are bigger than the Red Sea?

No Sir.

Then trust Me. Thank Me for what you see that I am doing. Also thank Me for what you don’t see I am doing for I AM working out all things for the good according to My will.

Even when mankind go their own way to do their own thing according to their free will to choose, I still turn things around. I still work out all things for the good of those who love Me.

But Lord, what about those who are tortured and killed because they chose You?

I am with them giving them strength to make it through their hardships. Then I take them home to be with Me. Their rewards are great. In fact their rewards are greater than you can know or imagine. In fact I am with them through it all.

Know this, it is the enemy who comes to kill, steal, and destroy. But I have come to give new life and abundant life. So trust Me.

Everyday there are miracles. Just open your eyes to see them. As you look, you will behold My power working throughout the Earth.

Now quit criticizing yourself so much. Remember, I am not a performance based God. Instead I am a love based God. And My love is greater than you can imagine.

It Pleases Me, So Seek Me

Posted on by

Child, when you cry out to Me for wisdom, direction, forgiveness, or for instruction, it pleases Me. Every time you come to My Presence, and express your love for me, it pleases Me. And every time you reach out to another in love and concern, it pleases Me. Also every time you give to others out of a desire to genuinely help, it pleases Me.

It pleases Me, so seek Me.

It pleases Me, so seek Me.

As long as you come to Me with your needs, your desires, your concerns, it pleases Me. And yes, when you tell Me about your joys, your pleasures, and your excitement too, it pleases Me.

I want to be your confidant, your friend, and your God. Because I want your love and consideration, I’m reaching out to you. Overall, I  want to be the largest part of your life. I want you to involve Me with every concern you have. and I want to be included in your celebrations over your victories too.

Lord, forgive me for gripping and blaming others for my mess-ups and misunderstandings. Help me to learn and do what pleases You. Forgive my many failures. Help me not complain, or seek the voice of others instead of seeking Your voice. Help me look to You for hope instead of others. Lord, forgive me for judging others, instead of bringing them to You.

Child, I have many plans for the the future, even your future. So look up. Quit looking around at what you see and getting so discouraged. Instead look up at me. See what I have done. Quit focusing on what evil is doing and focus instead on what I am doing.

Look for the good. It’s so easy to see the bad, for it always stands in front of your so-called news. But I want you to look for the good I am bringing forth. Seek My will in all things. Then you’ll see what I will do. It please Me, so seek My Presence.

Fight the good fight. Don’t give up. So you fell down and messed up. Now get up,  brush yourself off, and go forth again. Keep on going forth and keep your eyes on Me. Keep seeking My Presence and I will lead you to your victory.

By the way, each one has their own individual victory. Just as you used to create individual plans for your students, I also create individual plans of victory for each one. What is victory for one is not necessarily victory for another. But know this, each and every one of My children have a plan of victory for their lives.

It pleases Me, so seek My Presence.

It pleases Me, so seek My Presence.

Each individual has a  different plan just as each snowflake is different and just as each fingerprint is different. Know each plan is created for each specific individual. And I have planned a specific victory for each and every one.

At this time fear wants to rule. But I have overcome fear. I rule over all.  Fear will never win for I am victory.

Now look up . Look up to Me, to My glory, for I am victory. And I work out all things for the good those who are Mine. Even what you perceive as bad, I will  turn around for the good of those who love me.

It pleases Me, so seek My Presence.

Lord, I want You and I want to seek You. I want to please You in all things. Help me.

But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for He who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

Lord, did I mess up by weighing myself last night?

No, My Child, but look to Me for your rewards of obedience, not that box you stand on. Also don’t get so full of yourself, self piety, in how spiritual you are.

Yes Sir. I see my failures for they are obvious to me. I did get knocked down by frustration and disappointment. Help me to please You in all I do, say, and think.

Child, I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will guide you with My eye. Psalm 32:8

It pleases Me, so seek Me.

Lord, I don’t know what to do. I’m so tired of this struggle. You helped me lose 90 back in 2015-. And it seemed so easy then. At that time I was so full of Your Presence.

Healing Begins Today

Healing begins today, Child. In fact, I’m going to use all the destruction and death you see now, even wrongful death, to bring about My healing for this land. And it begins today.Healing Begins Today

Lord, we all need You. So can You turn all this around? To begin with, we need revival. Specifically, we need a great move of Your Holy Spirit across this land.

Today, my own son plans to complete a prayer walk around his city’s courthouse. Likewise, maybe we all should do a prayer walk around our cities and throughout our land.

To begin with Child, no matter what you see, My kingdom will never be destroyed. And My dominion will be for eternity.

So Lord, can You turn all this around?

Yes Child, I can turn all things around and I will. Now watch and you’ll see what I will do.

Again Child, I tell you I’m going to use all this destruction and death, even wrongful death, to bring about healing to this land. Yes, healing begins today.

Healing Begins Today

Thank you Lord.

Yes Child, healing begins today.

Also, I did not cause all this strife and heartache. No, Satan did for He is the cause of all destruction and death. His desire is to kill, steal, and destroy. But I am going to turn all things around.

Lord, You’re our only hope. Only You can bring healing to hearts, broken hearts, grieving hearts, and even sick hearts.

Child, soon you will hear testimonies of those who once looted and destroyed with hearts full of anger and hate. Soon you will hear them say, “But God. But God intervened and changed my heart. Now I want to serve Him and spread forth the message of His love for mankind.”

Today healing begins.

Lord, I look forward to hearing these testimonies. We all need to hear a good report of some kind.

First, we had CV-19. Then we witnessed unmerciful death. And then we witnessed riots full of destruction with more unmerciful deaths. Lord, it all looks hopeless.

Stay Home

But My child, wait until you see what I now will do across this land. Watch and see what I do.

Look throughout My Word. Every time things looked hopeless for My people, I stepped in and brought  forth My victory. Every time.

So from now on, every time things look hopeless, look to Me. Remember what I’ve told you many times. “Don’t look at what you see. Instead look at Me.”

Look to Me, for I am peace and joy. I am real love, love that can’t be explained. Never look to mankind for true love. They are incapable. But always look to Me, for I AM LOVE.

When My love enters a heart completely, then a life can be changed, truly changed.

So keep your eyes on Me and what I do. You are going to see and hear of many miracles of changed lives. Watch and see what I do.

Romans 8:28 and Trust

Posted on by

I’m learning about Romans 8:28 and trust. Here’s how the conversation went:

Lord, the scales went up even though I only ate broiled seafood (notice- broiled, not fried like I love it) , 2 cups of gumbo with no rice (notice- no rice), 2 rice cakes (notice- with nothing spread on them), one small satsuma, and one small apple. That’s all I ate all day long and yet the scales went up.

Now Lord, I ask You, how can that cause a one pound weight gain?Romans 8:28 and trust

Child, yesterday you drank no water and had very little activity. I’m teaching you.

Well Lord, . . . what am I learning?

Child, you’re learning about Romans 8:28 and trust. Both yesterday and today you ate past full. You chose to eat past full. When you don’t follow instructions, you get what you get.

Consequences always come from all decisions. Whether they are good consequences or bad, there are always consequences to every decision. Weigh your thoughts and consider your consequences.

Today focus on following the eating plan I gave you: 1) Wait until hunger before eating. 2) Seek My guidance concerning your food choices. 3) Trust and obey My instructions. 4) Stop eating before you reach full.

Your desire is to lose weight, but My desire is to teach you about Roman 8:28 and trust. Trust and obey. Throughout this process I am teaching you how to trust and look to Me.

Learn this now and when a crisis comes you will know how to come through victorious. Now today focus on the words and instructions I have already given to you. You will have victory today for I have already ordained it.

Yes Sir. Thank you Sir. Forgive me for my complaining and choosing to go against Your instructions. Help me to focus on Your will, to trust and obey You in all things even with the food I eat and how much I eat.Trust

Romans 8:28 and Trust

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. Romans 8:28 AMP

What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31 AMP

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. Romans 8:37 AMP

Not Misplaced Blessings

Not Misplaced Blessings

See the leaf shaped placemats on my table.

Those missed placemats were not misplaced blessings. Instead they were blessings of victory. Let me share another conversation with My Lord. Then you’ll know how.

My Conversation With My Lord- Part Two

Lord, . . . do You mind if we talk about those placemats again? You obviously sent me there to that Thrift store and I held them in my hand. Yes, they were all bundled up with rubber bands, but I held them in my hands. So why didn’t I open them?

I’m looking at Romans 8:28. How’s this working out for my good? Was it punishment for overeating to much Cole-slaw or that one extra piece of catfish? Wait, . . . it was that one bite of Hubby’s pie?

Lord, I admit I took that bite without thinking. So are the missed placemats my punishment? What do You want me to learn from this?

Disobedience always costs. If not in punishment, then it costs in missed blessings. Was that it?

At this moment I don’t care about those placemats, I just want this feeling of intense regret to go away.

Not Misplaced Blessings

To begin with, disobedience will cause one to miss out on My blessings. But that was not this case. Now, let’s consider together the results of this supposed missed blessing.

First of all, you’ve learned to focus on My Presence. Second, now you know to look for and expect blessings. Now let’s examine what happened yesterday in your kitchen.

Uh. . . the granddaughters and I cooked some desserts for upcoming thanksgiving Day.

Yes, and how many desserts did you taste?

Uh . . . not one bite.

I see. As you looked at the placemats on your table, you remembered the pain. Didn’t you?

Yes Sir.

Now consider this. Those placemats are not missed blessings. Instead they are blessings of power and victory. They are visable reminders of your vow of 40 Days of Victory for you.

Yesterday you had victory while cooking all those desserts. Those placemats are helping provide you strength throughout your Thanksgiving family feast to resist all the temptations coming forth.

So now you can appreciate these placemats are indeed not misplaced blessings, but rather powerful strong blessings of victory. I sent them as gifts of power and strength to you, My child.

Thank you Lord, and please forgive all my doubts and whining. Help me to please You in all I do, say, and think. I give my life to You, my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Blessings of Victory

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them. Romans 8:28 NLT

My suffering was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to Your decrees. Your instructions are more valuable to me than millions in gold and silver.      Psalm 119:71-72 NLT

But thanks be to God, who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Corinthians 15:57

Our Hardest Day- Holy 30 Devotional -Day 7 & Day 8

Posted on by

When I consider what was our hardest day, one day particularly stands out. It’s the day we signed a warrant of arrest for our son back in June of 2011.

Yes, that was the hardest day of our parenthood. There have been many days since that seemed hard at the time, but overall that was the hardest day ever. What a dark day that was, the darkest in our marriage, in my motherhood, and in my life. My husband will agree.

But then this is not so much a story of how horrible it was or even why we felt we had to do this. It’s not even a story about our hardest day. Instead, this is a story of how God loved on us in such a special way we knew we had been personally hugged by God.

The event that caused us to make this decision happened on a Saturday night, so early Sunday morning my husband and I drove to the city police department. I sat in the car, prayed and cried while my husband went inside to sign the papers.

We felt numb and overwhelmed with grief. Since we didn’t want to see anyone or make a public scene in our grief, going to church seemed out of question. Therefore we just rode and rode in the car in complete numbness and dead silence with no sense of direction.

After driving most of the day, we ended up in another county across the bay. Driving in silence we had passed several small fishing piers, so we decided just to get out and walk on one just  to look at the water. Water has a calming effect on the emotions.

We walked to the end of the pier, stood there looking at the sunset, and then hugged each other in consolation and grief. Suddenly a man took our picture. He asked permission to keep our picture because photography was his hobby. He said he was going to title the picture, “Lovers at Sunset.”

We were stunned, being lovers was the last thing on our minds. Before we could respond, his cell phone rang. Instead of a regular sounding ring, it played Christian music for the phone ring. We felt a sense of bond with this man for he was a Christian too. So we explained to him we weren’t hugging in a moment of passion, instead our hug was one of consolation and grief. We shared with him about our son and what we had done, the hardest thing any parent could do. Talk about “tough love”, this was killing us.

The man listened as we poured our hearts out, then he reached out for our hands and prayed both for us and with us for our son. We both cried, but felt reassured that God was listening. We felt assured that God would take care of our son and eventually restoration would come.

When my husband and I got back in the car, I said, “Do you know what just happened? God hugged on us, that’s what just happened.” My husband nodded his head in agreement. We left that place knowing God loved us, God loved our son, and God is in control even when we mess up.

I know of many who are going through darkness now with cancer, facing the loss of death of a loved one , or dealing with the heartache of wayward children. Our story may seem minor to others, but at the time it was the hardest day of our life.

And just to let you know,  both we and our son are in the process of restoration and healing in our relationships with one  another. We still have bumps in the road and moments of confusion. All of us have had tears since, but we can now express love one for another. My heart feels  joy each time he tells me, “I love you too, Mom.”

God is in the healing business.

Addendum: When we visited the Garden of Gethsemane last February, the Lord spoke to my heart saying, “No longer call him your wayward son, from now on call him your youngest son.”

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” Malachi 4:6

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;  does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part.  But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. 1 Corinthians  13:4-10
