Faith, losing weight, and life; found this framed plague of  “God’s Little Instructions” at a garage sale for 1$. I couldn’t resist. It’s full of scripture and wisdom for life.

God’s Little Instructions

Life is not a problem to be solved,but a gift to be enjoyed.                                       This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 NIV

If at first you don’t succeed, try reading the instructions.                                 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.          Proverbs 4:13

The measure of a man is not how great his faith is, but how great his love is.      And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.  1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV

Humor is to life what shock absorbers are to automobiles.                                         A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 17:22

People may doubt what you say, but they will always believe what you do.        The tree is known and recognized and judged by its fruit.                                  Matthew 12:33 AMP

Life can only be understood by looking backward, but it must be lived by looking forward.                                                                                                                                  And Jesus said unto him, “No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Luke 9:62

What a big difference there is between giving advice and lending a hand.        Little children, let us stop just saying we love people; let us really love them, and show it by our actions.  1 John 3:18 TLB

Take care of your character and your reputation will take care of itself.                 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. Proverbs 22:1

Your companions are like the buttons on an elevator- they will either take you up or they will take you down.                                                                                                He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
