About This Blog and My Story

This blog contains many of my conversations with God and my story. Most of the blog posts contain conversations we’ve had about my weight loss struggles. But occasionally I go to God to discuss current events or everyday life events too.

When I first wake up, I get my coffee and go into my parlor/prayer room. Then I get my notebook, pen, and my Bible. First I write my blessings from yesterday and thank God for each one. God told me this year would be a year of miracles. So, every day I write a miracle from yesterday and thank God for His miracles.

Then I read God’s Word to see how He speaks to me through His Word. Sometimes, I just start writing in my notebook all my questions and concerns. As I pour out my heart to God in my notebook, He answers me and I write down what He speaks to my heart.

Some of these conversations between God and I will end up in this blog, http://talkingtomyweightlosscounselor.com

Back in 2013, I used to weigh 241 pounds. When I cried out to God for help and deliverance, He answered me. By 2015, I had lost over 90 pounds following God’s plan for me.

Some of those conversations with God about that weight loss ended up in a book, “The God Plan”.

Now it’s 2026, eleven years later. And I’m now in my seventies. Yes, over the last eleven years I’ve gained about 40 pounds back. So, I’m returning back to God for weight loss counseling again.

God has many promises in His Word. But these are two of my favorite verses that I pray every day.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Psalms 32:8

And if anyone longs to be wise, ask God for wisdom and He will give it! He won’t see your lack of wisdom as an opportunity to scold you over your failures, but He will overwhelm your failures with His generous grace. James 1:6 TPT
