“Don’t let the serpent steal your testimony,” the speaker stated as she stood in front of listening ladies. She looked at each lady in the group and repeated, “Don’t let the serpent steal your testimony.”
. . . Lord, she doesn’t know me. So how did she know I was struggling with feelings of defeat. How did she know? I sense You’re smiling because You know how she knew.
‘Don’t let the Serpent steal your testimony.’ Yes My child, it’s true. I gave her those words to speak to the group and they went right to your heart where I meant them to go. You’ve been letting him beat you up for a while now. My child, how many times have I told you, ‘Don’t look at what you see, instead look at Me?’ Yet you continue to look at others and compare yourself as not measuring up. Then you think you perceive their thoughts as thinking you don’t measure up too. Why do you listen to the lies of the enemy? You allow him to defeat you without a fight. Where is you spiritual armor?
My child, do you remember the lady behind you at the store? She was standing behind you with a case of beer. What did you think as you looked at her?
Lord, (hanging my head down in shame) I thought I knew what her plans for the evening were, . . . to get drunk.
You thought wrong, My child. I arranged that meeting just to show you how easy it is to judge one another. What happened next?
Uh, . . . I didn’t have enough money to pay for my purchases. I needed 80 cents more.
Then what happened?
She gave the cashier a dollar to cover me.
Yes, you judged her, but she covered for you. Even if she was planning to get drunk, how many times in the past have you gone to the store and spent money for your binge run buying nothing but junk food? Once you spent $80 on just ice cream, cookies, chips, popcorn, etc. as you planned a food drunk. Then you ate until you were sick. Do you remember those days? Your food drunk then is the same as her beer drinking now. You are no better than her, except she wasn’t judging you. But you judged her.
Hmmm. . . how’s that humble pie tasting now?
Lord, I’m choking on it.
Child of Mine, that’s part of your problem. You thought your friends were judging you as not good enough when in fact it was you who were judging them.
What?
Yes, My child, you judged them as superior to you. Therefore you withdrew into your own little corner. Why did you allow the serpent to lie to you? I don’t see any of my children as superior or inferior. Did you know that judging others as superior to yourself is just as judgmental as judging them inferior?
By listening to the lies of the Serpent your relationships were cut off. Now I’m going to heal those relationships. I am in the salvation and restoration business, deliverance and healing too.
There were others in that group who also needed to hear those words spoken by My anointed teacher-daughter. I’m tired of My children being beat up and defeated. Yes, your lives will have struggles and battles to fight, but I intend for all that is Mine to achieve victory for I AM victory.
Oh ye of little faith, why do you doubt so? All My children are winners because I made it so. My blood guarantees their victory. Now don’t let the Serpent steal your testimony for I have already defeated him and he knows it too.
Now put on your spiritual armor and go forth to your victory. Help others find their victory too. When My children help one another in nonjudgmental love, victory is achieved. My blood paid for the victory. It covers all in MY love.
