What Is Your Choice?

Posted on by

Child, what is your choice, My love or your own way?

Lord, thank you for loving me. Although I don’t know why You do. I certainly don’t deserve Your love. What is your choice?

Child, no one deserves My love. but I choose to freely give it. You don’t, you can’t earn it. No one can be good enough to deserve it. But I choose to freely give My love. I reach out offering My love to all.

Lord, why do you love mankind, for we all are evil? Why? Why do You care about us at all?

Child, it is because I created each one. I value each life. I am a good God who freely reaches out to all in mercy and love. I am not a performance-based god.

In fact, I am a God  who loves unconditionally. No matter who you are or what you have done, I freely offer My love to you without conditions.

It is not I who rejects those who are evil. Rather, it is those who reject Me. But I still reach out to them offering My love freely to all. I do not choose one over another. I offer My love completely to all who will accept it.

It is those who reject Me that breaks My heart. Because I know what their choice will cost them, eternal damnation. And I do not want that for My children. Just as you want good for your children, I want good for all of Mine.

Therefore, I offer My love, My freedom, and My peace to all.

It is those who reject Me, that unknowingly choose torment, and that breaks My heart. Satan lies to them. He tells them that My way cheats them of living a joyful life.

But Satan’s way will only lead to heartache. The pleasures of sin are short-lived. They are soon replaced by the horrors of entrapment and bondage that sin always brings.

But the peace and joy of My forgiveness always comes from accepting and inviting My love into your life. So what is your choice?

Seek His answers

I keep all My promises written in My book, the Bible. But Satan is the chief liar. His goal is to cheat, kill, steal, and destroy.

My goal is to bring life, joy, peace, forgiveness, and love. You get to choose. So which will it be?

A life of surrender brings true freedom. In comparison, a life of selfishness brings misery. In the beginning it seems to bring joy in having your own way. But in the end, misery results.

So which will you choose? What is your choice?

Consider This

For this is how God loved the world: he gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.

There is no judgment against anyone who believes in Him. But anyone who does not believe in Him has already been judged for not believing in
God’s one and only son.  John 3: 16- 18 NLT

So what is your choice?God given boundaries

Pause in His Presence

Posted on by

Pause in His Presence, that’s where peace is found. The following is from Psalm 46, The Passion Version.

I feel the most important words in this Psalm are, “Pause in His Presence.” That’s where our strength is, in His Presence.

Psalms 46-

“God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge! You’re a proven help in time of trouble— more than enough and always available whenever I need you.

So we will never fear even if every structure of support were to crumble away. We will not fear even when the earth quakes and shakes, moving mountains and casting them into the sea.

For the raging roar of stormy winds and crashing waves cannot erode our faith in you. – Pause in his presence

God has a constantly flowing river whose sparkling streams bring joy and delight to his people. His river flows right through the city of God Most High, into his holy dwelling places.

God is in the midst of his city, secure and never shaken. At daybreak his help will be seen with the appearing of the dawn.

When the nations are in uproar with their tottering kingdoms, God simply raises his voice and the earth begins to disintegrate before him.

Here he comes! The Commander! The mighty Lord of Angel Armies is on our side. The God of Jacob fights for us! – Pause in his presence

Everyone look! Come and see the breathtaking wonders of our God. For he brings both ruin and revival. He’s the one who makes conflicts end throughout the earth, breaking and burning every weapon of war.

Surrender your anxiety! Be silent and stop your striving and you will see that I am God. I am the God above all the nations, and I will be exalted throughout the whole earth.

Here he stands! The Commander! The mighty Lord of Angel Armies is on our side! The God of Jacob fights for us! -Pause in his presence”

Psalms 46:1-11 TPT

Isn’t this just beautiful! Let us behold His glory! And praise His Name!

I’m Afraid

Posted on by

This is what 10 pounds looks like. My friend, Donna said, “Feel how heavy this is. This is what 10 pounds feels like. Imagine this on your body.”

Lord, today is weigh-day and I’m afraid. What if I’ve eaten too much? I know there were times when I got too full. I am afraid of what those scales might say.

My child, as you look to Me, I will lead you. I did not give you this fear. Why do you let this box with numbers rule your life? Trust Me. All of your struggles have been because of lack of trust.

When You were confronted by the problems and struggles of life, you ran to food for comfort.

When you felt hurt, rejected, or disappointed in others, you ran to food for love.

When you worried over your needs, finances, or the needs of others, you ran to food for peace. True peace never comes from food.

Know ye not that I have come to give you abundant life, peace, love, and joy unspeakable?

If only you would run to Me, the One that loves you beyond your comprehension, instead the idol of pleasant pleasure food. Then you would find yourself walking in the freedom of My love. My freedom brings peace, joy, wisdom, and abundant life.

The idol of pleasure food brings entrapment. It brings damage to your body, but the worst is that it brings defeat and shame to your soul. I want My children to walk in victory, not defeat. I have come to set you free. Can you believe that?

Now don’t worry or be afraid of those scales. don’t look for your confirmation of success from numbers on a box. Look to My Presence for your success. I AM your success.

As you yield yourself to Me, I will grant you increase, not increase in body size, but increase in My love and power. I will increase My power within you to give you the ability to say “No” when necessary and “Yes” to My will.

I will increase My love within you so it will spill over to others and they can be filled with My joy as well, for I am the one true joy. Tell them to come to Me, for I AM the One true source of joy, peace, and love.

Yes Sir. Thank you Sir. I give myself to thee, do with me as You will. Help me to obey You in all things.

Almost 200 pounds gone! (From My House)

Posted on by

IMG_5654 Lord, I want to scream! Hubby’s fussing, “Get this house clean. Get this clutter out. I want my house free of clutter. Look at this mess. Your friend’s house isn’t cluttered like this.” Grrrrrrrr! Fighting words. Lord, help me not yell at him.

IMG_6197Give me patience. I don’t want lessons, I just want to get through this. Help me keep my mouth shut. (Uh-oh.) Lead me as to what is best and Your will.

Before when I was anxious or stressed at others, I ran to ice cream for comfort. I ran to anything sweet to sooth my feelings and kept my mouth shut. Now that I’m following Your plan for my eating, I have these emotions I don’t know how to handle. It seems I’m gritting my teeth daily just to get through the day. People that didn’t used to bother me now irritate me to no end. Lord, I need help. HELP! Today, it’s him, the one I love.

Listen to him, My child, for I have given him a spirit of wisdom that I didn’t give you. I gave you a heart-cry for others that I didn’t give him. I created both of you and put you two together to serve My purposes. Do not criticize what I created.IMG_6188

For God is not  of confusion but of peace, . . . I Corinthians 14:33 NKJV

My child, you tend to get full of religious, spiritual pride. I also see selfishness and greed. That’s all clutter in your life. Let it all go. Come to Me. Let Me fill you with Myself.

Let go of these material things you can touch and see for I intend to fill you full of things you cannot touch and see. These are of greater value than these objects you see and touch. Let go My child of what you hold in your hand so that I can fill your hand with what I have for you. You can’t receive when your hand is closed. Let go,  for I have much to give you.

There is too much clutter in all of your life. I want to empty you out so that I can fill you with Myself.

IMG_6167

Does this look like 200 pounds? The Home of Grace called for donations. They’ll pick it up. I cleaned out three closets and de-cluttered the house per Hubby’s request.

Yes Sir, I want all that You have for me. Help me to let go of what is not important to You. (And help Hubby too.)

And it will be said in that day: “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for Him; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”  Isaiah 25:9

Let all things be done in decently and in order.                  I Corinthians 14:40

Then the priests went into the inner part of the house of the Lord to cleanse it, and brought out all the debris that they found in the temple of the Lord to the court of the house of the Lord. . . .  2 Chronicles 29:16

Lord, I guess if Your priests had to clean house and bring out all the debris, then I shouldn’t complain. By the way Lord, did You know that we had out-of-town company  coming? Hubby was proud of my work and our house. Thank you Lord for helping me.

The Guest bedroom, all clean and fresh. Totally uncluttered.

Hubby cleaned off the patio where we have our morning coffee.

The now uncluttered family room. God gave me the rug. The name under the corner is “Victory”. How about that.

The most peaceful spot in the house. This is where I meet with God for my counseling sessions. My grandchildren call this, “The Prayer Room”. Hubby calls it, “The Parlor.” But I have my exercise bike in there too.

IMG_5263Hi Ya’ll!

Several months ago my blog friend Darleen, ( http:kidfarmer.wordpress.com ) “Thoughts From A Christian Cowgirl,”  recommended me for this award. I was absolutely thrilled and amazed that she would grant me this honor. Thank you so much Darleen. Ya’ll check her out.  IMG_5283

Because I’m so tech challenged, it took me a while to figure out how to place this icon on my blog. . .  A widget, what’s that? I emailed Darleen for help and she sent directions, but my granny self couldn’t comprehend them. What did you say? Huh? Finally I ordered a couple of how-to books from Kindle and they helped. Reading directions always helps. Continue reading

HOPE AND VICTORY

Posted on by

IMG_1881 I have joined a writer’s group that submits a story every week based on a scripture cue. I would like to share them with you, although they won’t all relate to weight loss. Then again, they may. Hope you enjoy.

I have enjoyed writing for this group. My stories are a little odd, but I pray asking God for guidance each week. I also draw from my personal life/feelings as I write about the characters. It’s fun. I enjoy it.

The following story, although it’s about a prostitute’s journey, it does relate to my weight loss. For years I would worship God, ask Him to guide me to His will, and then I ran to my other lover, the pleasure of food.  Yes, I admit my other lover was food pleasure. Therefore I sold out my body to another, I was a prostitute. Continue reading
