Be still, and know that I am God. . . .Psalm 46:10 NKJV

Lord, I don’t feel as though I have been very still at all! Life seems to be all chaos now!

(My child, I want to teach you a ‘quietness’ and a ‘stillness’ within your spirit. If you possess a quiet, still spirit, you will be able to withstand the loud, roaring storms of life with a new confidence and faith that no matter what, I WILL BRING YOU THROUGH!

My child, I am teaching you about a deeper faith, not the kind where you close your eyes and take a step, but the kind of faith that can be strong enough to stand solid and firm throughout all the fierce winds. Oh, how I long for you to be stronger!

My child, it just breaks My heart as I watch the young and tender growing strength within your spirit become completely deflated as you behold a food presentation. This ‘hold’ that food has on your spirit has greatly damaged your faith ability. My child, I long for you to become strong within your spirit, stronger than the food temptation . My wish for you is that the pull of My presence be stronger than the pull of food. The pleasure that you can find in My presence is so much more than the pleasure of taste and the ‘full’sensation. I long for you to be full of My spirit! I am going to change you, My child! I am going to change your desires so that you will no longer find a full stomach to be as pleasurable, but now a full stomach will be a source of discomfort. Instead, you will now find intense pleasure when your spirit overflows with the pleasure of My presence.)

Oh Lord, I would love to be full of Your presence. Oh, I would love to be so full of You that I even carry the aroma of Your presence around me so that others would also desire the sweetness of You! Lord, teach me Your ways! Take away completely all desires that I have for food! Take away all desires that are not of You! Let food just become to me a source of nourishment, not a source of pleasure. Let my source of true pleasure be Your presence!

Lord, you said that You wanted my faith to be strong enough to withstand the fierce winds and roaring storms of life. Then I read in my devotional about the sufferings of Paul. I read how he was in a storm so fierce that it destroyed his ship. I also read about how he was beaten and put in a dungeon for months. Lord, am I going to be tested in sufferings also? If so, I am afraid! I do not want to suffer, I do not like pain! This is one reason I eat so much, to comfort me when I am in pain. It is so painful for me to let go of this food!

(My child, I will speak to you as I once did Peter by the sea. What is it to you what I did in another’s life? I am now instructing you about your life, not Paul’s. Do not concern yourself with my instructions to another. Do not even look at others, but yet look unto Me! For what I have planned for one is not what I have planned for another. I have given different talents and gifts to each.

Also My child, do not be afraid of the future for I will bring you through it all! I will be by your side through everything.)

Isaiah 41:10 NKJV: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
