Jesus said, “So you believe because you’ve seen with your own eyes. Even better blessings are in store for those who believe without seeing.” John 20:29 MSG
Lord, in this verse You were talking to “Doubting Thomas” after You revealed Yourself to him.
But now I’m asking for help. Help me hold on and keep believing those scales will go down.
I’ve been careful with my eating, sometimes eating smaller than usual portions. And for days those scales have not moved. Instead they’ve stayed right on that frustrating number. I want to scream!
Lord, I know if I seek Your wisdom and follow Your will for my eating, then I’ll lose weight. But for now this is hard, eating in submission to Your will and not mine. It was eating to my will that got me overweight to begin with. Now I’m trying to trust You to lead me and guide me as to how to eat and how much to eat too.
But Lord, this unmoving number is so very frustrating. It makes me want to eat everything in the kitchen.
Child, I’ve got this. Trust Me.
Yes Sir. Help me keep the faith that following Your way for my eating is the best way. A lot of people can stick to a diet plan, but so far I haven’t been able to. Every time I try a structured diet plan, I only fall on my face to become a human vacuum cleaner when it comes to food, especially sweets.
Lord, help me believe again when it comes to my weight loss. Increase my faith so that as long as I follow You then I will lose weight.
“I command those scales to move to a lower number now in the name of Jesus!”
Well Lord, that made me feel better. At least it made me laugh and laughter is good for the soul. Right?
Child, I’ve got this. Trust Me. As long as you seek My will with your food and follow My guidance, then I promise you will lose weight. And I always keep My promises. Believe, my child, believe.
Thank you Lord.
Child, don’t give up. Never give up. Keep on, keeping on. How many times do I have to remind you? “Don’t look at what you see. Instead, look at Me.”
Yes Sir. Thank you for talking with me.
Child, there is another victory coming.
But he did not doubt or waver in unbelief concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and empowered by faith, giving glory to God, being fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised. Romans 4:20-21 AMP
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23 NKJV
I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart [in god’s unlimited power]. but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will]. Mark 11:23 AMP
