Lately, the Lord convicted of getting two extra spoonful’s of this or that. I knew in my heart that if I chose to continue eating, it would greatly disappoint My Lord! He has done so much for me that I do not want to disappoint Him! The conviction was so strong to STOP and walk away! Then the Lord led me to pull out some of my “old writings” and I found this from the past. You see, He has talked to me about this before! Yes, He has many times before.
FROM THE PAST:
(My child, I saw you eat those chips and the ice cream last night!)
I know. [Sigh.]
(I tried to warn you, My child. It was the little feeling of guilt that you had. But you ignored Me and ate it all anyway.)
I know. [Hanging my head in shame]
(How can you expect Me to help you lose weight if you won’t listen to Me?)
Well, he was eating some of it too! [Pointing to my husband]
(My child, he didn’t ask for help in losing weight, you did! Now does what he eats affect your weight?)
No Sir!
(Then listen to Me, My child. When I put a check in Your spirit about a matter, pay attention! Don’t ignore Me and do what you want anyway. Mankind has done that for years and now look at the condition that the world is in! Then to add insult, they want to blame Me for the results of their own selfishness.)
I’m sorry, Sir!
(My child, listen to Me! I’m trying to help you because you ask for My help. I can’t help you unless you ask! If you are not willing to do what I say, then don’t ask Me to guide you in wisdom! I have indeed allowed you to have some deserts, but you can’t have it all and expect to lose weight!)
Yes Sir, I know.
(My child, this issue is bigger than the size of your pants! It is an issue of your self-seeking, self-indulging wish for pleasure. My child, life is not all about your pleasure!)
Okay Lord, what is life all about?
(Life is about growing stronger in My Presence and gaining My Wisdom while overcoming the difficulties of your life. My child, I AM the source of all wisdom! As you give your self to Me, I will increase your strength and your wisdom!
My child, give your desires and your will to Me. As you surrender to Me, I will increase your strength and decrease your rear. But be willing to listen and yield yourself to My instructions. Obey the “red lights”!)
Yes Sir!
(My child, I love you and I want what I know is best for you! Do you want this the “hard way” or the “easy way”?)
Oh Lord, I would like the “easy way”!
(Then listen to Me, My child, for My yoke is light and easy!)

Lord, don’t take Your Presence from me.
(My child, I am not going to leave you, for you have invited Me to stay. I love you, I understand your weaknesses. I also understand your inability to totally comprehend the depths of My love for you! But know this, My child, I love you!
