(Making revisions since I’m choking on Humble Pie.)
Humble Pie Ingredients list:
Made a copy of magazine cover. Just found out I may have broke the copy write law. Not sure, but I’m removing the image anyway.
I wrote the name of the magazine wrong.
I don’t know why the latest picture of me came out sideways, to humble me, I guess. On my draft it’s right.
I wanted to follow your advice and emphasize how I felt after failing all diets for 41 years. Hope you approve.
Someone suggested that I was comparing my greater weight loss to the woman’s weight loss in the article. You know, mine is better than yours, therefore insulting to her. I apologize. My size may be smaller, but my head got bigger. One’s weight loss is NOT greater than another. The sacrifice required to lose one pound is just as great as 90 pounds. It’s just repeated 90 times, one week at a time. God’s been so good to me, how could I get so full of pride? Pride before the fall.
Lord, what is Your will concerning this blog? What do You want me to do with it? I’m so discouraged. Is there something I can do? Do I go back to the way it was so I can just write and not worry about the tech mechanics? Do I just give up? Continue reading Trust
Breakfast: Salad w 2 T croutons, 1 T dressing. 2 oz. rotisserie chicken-(Yes, sometimes I do eat salad for breakfast. I’m having a love affair with romaine lettuce.) 4 baby carrots ( for my chewing issue) 1 oz cheese – water (3 large glasses) Continue reading Blessings-Day 1 New Food Plan
Lord, I know I weighed first thing this morning, but I’m thinking about getting on these scales again before I eat breakfast? Maybe the numbers went down. I want to see. What do You think? Continue reading Lying scales, No Weight Loss
I unknowingly posted about a “Spirit Animal” Blog Award. My dear friend, Rachel informed me, “There is no such thing as a spirit animal. Only the Holy Spirit can abide in us if we ask him too. He is all the wisdom we need.:)”
So true Rachel. Thank you for the reminder. I went back and made the necessary changes. The Holy Spirit (Lord) is what delivered me from obesity (over 90 pounds) and I don’t want to hurt His feelings. I owe all that I am to the Lord, Holy Spirit. I appreciate Rachel helping me realize my error. Isn’t that what true friends are for, to help us along the way.
Chape at http://chapeblog.wordpress.com sent me the Spirit Animal award. She’s a personal trainer who encourages you to get up off the sofa and do something, anything. She has a playlist of music to move your body. Wow! How did she do that? Check out her blog for more inspiration. Very motivating.
Lord, do You remember her, the world’s oldest body builder?
Yes My child, I know her very well. She’s one of Mine.
Look at her. Wow! Is there is hope for me? Here I am, age 63 trying out this gym experience. Yes, I know I’m weak. Yes, I know You told me to walk, but I confess I’ve been slacking in exercise. Continue reading Gym. You Vote. Yes or No?
Which way will you choose, the dark side or the side of the light?
Choose Me and your future will be bright. I will teach you the way of the light. Then you will use the light, My light to spread forth My power for others. I am the Almighty Force. I am the Way.
Partake of My Spirit and you will reflect My glory. My child, you have heard, “May the force be with you.” I am the Force. Seek Me, the eternal Force and I will bring you strength and power. Use it for the good side. Use My force and My power to bring forth My will. When the Force is with you (My Power), then your future is unlimited. There is no limit for I am the Force. Go forth in My power.
I AM, therefore you will be.
Your light saber, your sword is My Word. Use My Word to defeat your enemies, the enemies of your soul and the enemies of your future. Eat of My Word and you will be full. Fill yourself with My Spirit and the Force will be with you. Speak the language I give to you and they will hear. My glory will come.
Lord, thank you for those encouraging words. Help me to always look to You. I want to see Your glory.
Words of the Force
. . . open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me. Acts 26:18
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.” Mark 9:23
So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. Matthew 17:20
So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. Luke 17:6
Due to several short trips out of town and a friend at church that needed assistance, I procrastinated responding. While Hubby is watching his football game, I’m having my own award night catching up on thank you’s and my apologies. “Itsgoodtobecrazysometimes”, I ask for your forgiveness.
Thank you for the honor of your recognition. I’m glad you enjoyed my blog. I enjoy reading yours as well, especially about that cute little fella of yours.

So my 3 questions are:
What is your favourite four legged creature and why? (My favorite four-legged animal is Suzy, the cat I inherited from my mother-in-law. She is the easiest pet ever, but she won’t let me touch her. She defines the term, “Fraidy Cat.”
2. Name 3 things in nature you find most beautiful. (The sunrise on the water, the petals of a rose, and the beach.)
3. What do you think is a good question to get to know someone more? (How can I help you? Everyone needs a little help now and then.)
Lord, today is weigh-day and I’m afraid. What if I’ve eaten too much? I know there were times when I got too full. I am afraid of what those scales might say.
My child, as you look to Me, I will lead you. I did not give you this fear. Why do you let this box with numbers rule your life? Trust Me. All of your struggles have been because of lack of trust.
When You were confronted by the problems and struggles of life, you ran to food for comfort.
When you felt hurt, rejected, or disappointed in others, you ran to food for love.
When you worried over your needs, finances, or the needs of others, you ran to food for peace. True peace never comes from food.
Know ye not thatI have come to give you abundant life, peace, love, and joy unspeakable?
If only you would run to Me, the One that loves you beyond your comprehension, instead the idol of pleasant pleasure food. Then you would find yourself walking in the freedom of My love. My freedom brings peace, joy, wisdom, and abundant life.
The idol of pleasure food brings entrapment. It brings damage to your body, but the worst is that it brings defeat and shame to your soul. I want My children to walk in victory, not defeat. I have come to set you free. Can you believe that?
Now don’t worry or be afraid of those scales. don’t look for your confirmation of success from numbers on a box. Look to My Presence for your success. I AM your success.
As you yield yourself to Me, I will grant you increase, not increase in body size, but increase in My love and power. I will increase My power within you to give you the ability to say “No” when necessary and “Yes” to My will.
I will increase My love within you so it will spill over to others and they can be filled with My joy as well, for I am the one true joy. Tell them to come to Me, for I AM the One true source of joy, peace, and love.
Yes Sir. Thank you Sir. I give myself to thee, do with me as You will. Help me to obey You in all things.
For God has not given a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. II Timothy 1:7 NKJV
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” II Corinthians 12:9 NKJV
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17 NKJV
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 NKJV
