My child, you worry too much. Don’t you yet know I’m in control of all things? Give Me your heart and your mind, allow Me to guide you and lead you. Seek My influence for I will never lead you wrong. I will always lead you correctly. No worries for I’ll even correct your errors. I’ll open doors you know not of. Continue reading

I did not write this article, but it makes an interesting read. I tried to re-blog, but the computer challenged me. I copied this from https://atimetoshare.me/2016/08/13/to-the-never-trumper-a-biblical-case-for-trump/

My child, I am your hope. (From past struggles)
Lord, right now I feel hopeless. I read that You fight for Your children. Do you ever fight for me?
Yes My child, I am fighting for you. My plans are for your victory. I aim for you to be victorious. Today will be a day of victory for you.
I will fill you with My peace. I have come to save you, even from yourself and your self-infliction. I have your victory in my hand. Come to Me, so that I might give unto you the victory I have prepared for you. Continue reading
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7

THE MAN WHO THINKS HE CAN
If you think you’re beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you’d like to win, but think you can’t,
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.
If you think you’ll loss, you’re lost.
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will.
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you’re outclassed, you are.
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But sooner or late, the man who wins,
Is the man who thinks he can.
(W.D. Wintle)

I bought a cross-stitch piece at an estate sale which contained this poem. So much truth. We will attempt nothing unless we suspect we can.
When you stand on the scales, do you think it’s possible to lose that extra weight? When you try on that special outfit that just a little tight and if you lose 10 pounds, you can wear it proudly. Do you think you can?
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7
“Seeking God’s Presence for Weight Loss” is a new weight loss support group starting at our church. I think this name may be too long, do you have another suggestion? Let me know.
It’s exciting to have another opportunity to share with others how God delivered me with a 90+lbs. weight loss. Can’t wait to start the class next Sunday.
Drum roll please. . . . Lesson plans and worksheets are in the process of being written now by yours truly. If you’d like a copy, just let me know. Continue reading
Last week Hubby decided we should take a road trip to the World’s Longest Yard Sale on Highway 127. It starts in Gadsden, Alabama and ends in Michigan. The 127 Yard Sale, World’s Longest Yard Sale, is 690 miles long and spans 6 states. It’s held every year the first weekend of August. Continue reading
Remember this song?
“Count your many blessings. Name them one by one. Count your many blessings. See what God Has done.”
How often do you get over loaded and burdened with the struggles of life? Do you notice your blessings? Have your struggles and disappointments overwhelmed you? Stress can be caused by just looking at what you see. Wish I had a dollar for every time God spoke these words to my heart as I looked at what I saw and became over stressed. Continue reading
“Discouraged” was written last month. Today is day 5 of victory. ________________________
Lord, I’m so discouraged.
My child, as you proceed, you will grow in confidence. As you learn, you will grow in confidence.
Am I too skinny?
My child, focus on obedience to Me and allow Me to be in control. I will decide where your weight needs to be. Continue reading
Every now and then we fall. This picture is from a bicycle fall in May 2011. My weight loss plan then was to ride a bicycle to lose weight and get in shape.
With that fall, I got in a shape alright, ended up in surgery with added cadaver bone, 7 screws, a metal plate, physical therapy, and two months in a wheelchair. I think I’d call that “in a shape”.
Just recently I had a spiritual fall. It didn’t hurt as much physically, except Continue reading
