New Food Plan-ASK / Support Group

Posted on by

I’ve been reading a lot of blogs that encourage you to share your link and connect with others. Good idea!

A few days ago, I wrote about my latest weight loss counseling session with the Lord. He instructed me to follow a new food plan.

First, give up my desserts for 40 days. Then the most important part, ask Him for advice before eating my meals. This new food plan is called ASK because that’s the focus, ask God first, and seek His will concerning my food plan.

Several people said they wanted to join me. That’s good, because if img_8718God delivered me of over 90 pounds (94), He’ll deliver you too.

You must talk to my weight loss counselor. He’s the best. Highly recommended. His plan worked for me, why not you too?

I share my story  because I want others to find the same victory God has graciously given to me.

After seeking God’s direction for this evening, it just occurred to me, why don’t we form a support group to encourage each other?

IMG_3034No diets and no judgments, this is not a diet group. The point of this is to seek God’s will concerning your food. God has a plan for you, a plan for a hope and a future. Yes, even a food plan for you.

We can share with one another how God is leading you to eat, but we won’t tell each other what to eat.

Post your  food plan for today (or just that you had victory today) in the comments. Write a blog post about it and post your  link so we all can connect and support each other on to victory.

  1. After my two week vacation, I am now 88 kgs- don’t ask me how it happened but it did.
    Yeah !

  2. I love your words of wisdom.

  3. Its day 3 now. I feel a little lightness in my step and a little more confidence in myself. I did indulge in some eating yesterday but not too much- just enough to get me going. The worst times are at night, when waves of tiredness and hunger hit one together and one does not know how to handle them.
Looking forward to your new post.
I will be travelling for about 2 weeks so will not be checking posts so often, starting July 1.

    • Susie, I’m praying for you. God loves you very much. I will be posting today. You are God’s priority. I have interviewed several others to find out how God speaks to them. Some of their answers will be surprising.
How long do you plan to fast?
I have fasted, but only for short periods of time. Usually I fast foods that are my weakness. For now, I’m fasting desserts for 40 days.
May God richly bless you, My friend, with a mighty touch of His Presence, strength, and power.

I remember long ago, someone bigger than I said to me, “Do you realize I’m stronger than you and I could break your arm?”
I had spent much time with God before that, and I replied, “Do you realize I’m full of God’s Holy Spirit and I have more power in my little finger than you?”
That person looked at me, then he turned and walked away. (This was my youngest son whom was on drugs at that time. Praise God he is not now.)

      • Praise God for all his blessings Debbie. Thanks for sharing your story and being with me on my journey.I plan to fast for as long as I can keep off food. There has been no change in weight even though it is 3 days.
But I feel blessed and thank you.

        • I’ve been praying for you all morning.

          • I think I can feel it.
I am just off to the airport now for my vacation.
Talk to you in about 2 weeks, Debbie.
            Hold the fort !

        • Susie, I hate to tell you this. But sometimes when you fast your body goes into starvation mode and keeps it, holding on as long as possible.
When you do start eating again, go slowly.

          • I will and that is a relief to hear because it means I can eat some thing.

    • Susie, I just posted “Hearing From God”. Praying for you.

Please tell me how God speaks and how you hear his voice. How will I know if the new way of life I have chosen is what God wants for me ?
