Lord, What’s Your Will?

Posted on by

Lord, You know all and see all. So help me become  what You want me to be. I realized I’ve wasted too much time watching Hallmark movies and ate too many Christmas treats during the holidays. I know You do have a purpose and a plan for me. Help me find that purpose, Your plan.

Cooked these in December – Glad they’re gone Now- No, I didn’t eat them all. Took some to family gatherings and gave some away too.

Yesterday, I wasted the whole day and accomplished nothing. Also all my eating yesterday was just stuffing away empty calories. But really I don’t want to live life this way, just existing, going through all the motions and eating treats all day. Life is more than that. Instead  I want to put You first, live Your will, do Your will, and eat according to Your will. I’ve alway said, “We were created for a higher purpose, rather than just taking up space and breathing air.” Help me find that purpose.

Child, don’t you know by now that I use all things for My glory and your good, even those wasted days and your wasteful eating. But now Child, it’s time for you to get up and go forth to face this new year. Certainly, it will be filled with many joys, but there will also be heartaches. In addition there will be many victories. But also you can expect some setbacks. Overall though, there will be more victories. Some victories will be major and even victory over your lifetime struggle with food. Victories will come for I am Victory. Those who look to Me and walk in My plan will walk in victory. So look forward, My Child, to what I have already prepared for you. This upcoming year is a packaged gift I give unto you, full of surprises to be opened each and every day.

The New Day Is Beginning

Here I am Lord, now standing before You, this first day of the new year. [This was written on Jan.1] What’s Your will for me this upcoming year? I want to walk, talk, and eat Your will.  Lord, I feel like last year was just a waste. Because I achieved nothing, just went through the motions of life.

No, last year wasn’t a waste. But now My child, I have given unto you an open door. This 2019,  you can choose to walk through it or not. I have plans for you and for each one of My children. Walk through the door of My plans and you’ll be pleased with the results. Walk your own way and you’ll be disappointed in your own performance. But you do get to choose. You do have options. So which way do you choose, your will or My will?

Lord, I know Your will is best. Help me in the way, rather the path You have designed. What do You want from me?

Your love, My child. I want your love.

Thank you Lord for loving me. And thank you for Your plans for this upcoming year. I trust You. Thank you for Your kind, encouraging words to me. Most of all, thank you for not giving up on me.

Child, I never give up on My children.

It’s A New Day & A New Beginning

CHEW ON THIS

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who are called according to His plan and purpose. Romans 8:28 AMP

Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for I trust in You. Teach Me the way in which I should walk, for I lift up My soul to You. . . . Teach me to do Your will [so that I may please You], for You are my God; let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.  Psalm 143: 8,10 AMP

The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord, and He delights in his way [and blesses hi spath]. When he falls, he will not be hurled down, because the Lord is the One who holds his hand and sustains him. Psalm 37:23,24 AMP

A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], but the Lord directs his steps and establishes them. Proverbs 16:9 AMP

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

To begin with, I’d like to recommend this book written by me (yes, me and God) during my early morning talks with God concerning my weight/food issues. A lot of my friends highly recommend it. As a matter of fact, one friend has read it eight times. I think? She tells me, “I’ve started reading it over again.”

Then, for my favorite book (second to my Bible) is Jesus Calling by Sara Young. This devotional was given to me by my daughter in love for Mother’s Day, 2011. Of course, I love this book. I’ve been using and wrote many prayers and family notes in it. At the beginning of the year is a great time to begin this devotional. And I have it on my phone as an App too. Love it, love it, love it. You will too.

I’m thinking of ordering this bracelet for myself. Because maybe it will serve as a reminder that. ‘Yes, I can’ eat according to God’s will for me. What do you think? Let me know. If I get 20 votes to order it, I will. So let me know your vote- ‘Yes’ or ‘No’

  1. Yes, for the bracelet.
Going to buy the Jesus Calling app now
Also glad to see this post as it radiates positivity and also hints that you haven’t back slid as much as you might have thought meaning, you have eaten according to God’s will and given God first priority in life. Those sweet treats look amazing. Are those your signature rocks ?

    • Thank you Susie

    • Candy – pure sugar- called divinity- southern treat- some people can’t make it.
I’m very good at making it. Sold some last year, but did not this year. Sugar is a drug, you know. Hee, hee,

      • Yes, I remember Divinity from last year. I am glad you are doing a lot of things to generate income, though that is not your primary purpose.

        • True, I didn’t sell any this year. Just made enough for a Christmas family gathering.
