Lord, Can I Please Have A Word For 2017? “Trust”

“Trust” is your word for this year.    OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Oh Lord, I don’t want that word. First of all, it’s too hard. Second, I want an encouraging, exciting  word full of hope and prosperity. What I  really want is a word that’ll cause me to expect and know that only good things are going to come forth this year for 2017.

My child, don’t you yet see? All that you desire, all you’re looking for comes from Me. Therefore, you must trust Me. Ultimately, you must surrender all you have, all you are, or will be into My arms. Allow Me to hold you.

This past New Year’s Day, I arranged for you to watch ‘Titanic.”  The remote was in Hubby’s hands, remember? Throughout this movie, you listened as the hero continuously asked the heroine, “Do you trust me?” She always answered, “I trust you.” Finally he chose to gave up his life in order to save hers.

While you, My child, have the head knowledge, it seems as though you don’t yet completely fully comprehend how I gave up My life in order to save yours? Think about it for a few minutes. .  .  . Now I ask you, “Do you yet trust Me?”

Oh Lord, please forgive me. It seems as though I have taken Your sacrifice for granted. Yes, I do trust You.

Then place all those you love and all your dreams into My hands. Next allow Me to hold you up as you feel the wind of My Holy Spirit blowing across your face just as he held her at the helm of the ship so she could feel the wind blowing. She exclaimed, “I’m flying.”

IMG_4421Lord, this is a hard thing. It’s hard to let go. Help me to trust You with all that is mine (both those I love and my stuff too) and all throughout our  lives.

My child, consequently your messes are because you try to fix and arrange things according to your wisdom and your knowledge. You lack the capacity to know and completely understand how much greater My wisdom and My knowledge is compared to yours? I have infinite, unmeasurable wisdom and your wisdom can be measured on a pinhead.

Yes Sir. Forgive my doubts, self-sufficiently, and forgive my fears too. Please.

First of all My child, turn to Me with your food, your money, and your dreams. Then trust Me with the lives of those you love and care for. Finally, trust Me throughout all the events and details of your life (their lives too, for that matter)  for I am the All- All loving- All wisdom- All knowledge-All mercy- All understanding. I AM the ALL.

Note:

While reviewing old material, I found this old blog post. It was never published- Lord, Would You Give Me A Word For 2016

Too bad. As you can see, it seems as though I struggled with trust issues all last year too.

 Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
    don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
   He’s the one who will keep you on track.
Don’t assume that you know it all.
    Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
    your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
    give Him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
    your wine vats will brim over.
But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline;
    don’t sulk under his loving correction.
   It’s the child he loves that God corrects;                                                                        a father’s delight is behind all this.                                                                               Proverbs 3:5-12 The Message (MSG)
