He’s Not Giving Up

Child, I’m not giving up on you. So don’t you give up on you. He's not giving up

Lord, I need Your help. I feel as though I’m emerging from a drunk. (Note: This was written in my prayer journal over two weeks ago.)He's not giving up

Yes Child, you are . . .  a food drunk. Today I say to you, “Sober up, get up, and wash your face. What’s done is yesterday.”

Now get up from your bed of self-wallowing. So wash your face and go forth in your new assignment from me.

Lord, again I ask forgiveness for the same old sin that comes back over and over. I ask forgiveness for yesterday’s drunken stupor.

Child, I forgive you. Now get up out of this squalor and go forth. Not only do I have many plans for you, plans for a hope and a future, but also My plans are not to harm you (or punish you).

Be Confident

After all Child, I’m not giving up on you.

Lord, I’m sorry I keep returning to the feeding bucket. How can I be so stupid?

Yes Child, you love food. But I am going to remove that love from your heart. You will love Me more than your necessary food. I have plans for you and it’s not for you to gain weight or be addicted to food. No, it’s for you to go forth in My assignments. You know, the ones I have planned for you.

There are many assignments ahead for you, people’s lives for you to touch, talk with, and connect with their hearts. They will touch your heart. Right now, your heart can’t connect due to being numb and satiated with food.

Oh Lord, please forgive me.

Child, I already have. Through all of this you are learning.

Lord, will I ever get it right?

Yes My Child, you will. But be aware. After gluttony leaves, then pride comes forth. That’s exactly what caused your downfall, pride in your previous weigh loss of 90 pounds. But know this, I have victory over both pride and gluttony. Overall I have total and complete victory. So come to Me. Allow Me to rule over you, both your spirit and your stomach.

Yes Lord. Here I am. Take me. I give myself to You. Thank you for not giving up on me.

Child, I will never give up on you. Never. After all, I died on that cross just for you. Yes, you.

Never Give Up

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. Romans 8:37 NKJV

. . . Keep on working to complete your salvation, and do it with fear and trembling. Yes, God is working in you to help you want to do what pleases Him. Then He gives you the power to do it. Philippians 2: 12, 13 ICB

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Walk In Obedience

Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to Him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Psalm 128:1-2 NIV

__________________________

You know Lord . . . I didn’t walk in obedience yesterday. And now I’m here before You asking for forgiveness again, yet another time. Because I know I don’t deserve it, Your love amazes me.

Please help me walk in obedience today. And please forgive me. We both know that I didn’t bring You any honor, glory, and praise yesterday. Help me to fulfill Your will in all I do, say, think, and even to what I eat in Jesus’ name.

Lord, . . . all I can say is I’m sorry.

Child, I’m sorry too. You could have had victory, supernatural victory. But now you don’t. Instead you have weight gain.

Yes Sir.

So you didn’t weigh yourself today, did you?

No Sir.Romans 8:28 and trust

I see . . . if only you would come to Me. Then I could deliver you from this bondage. After all, I have many plans of victory for you.

Oh Lord, I do want victory.

Then come here to Me.

Yes Lord, here I am.

Know that you are Mine and nothing can change that. I love you, My child.

Sir, I love You too. I’m sorry I wasted yesterday. I do want to serve You. Yesterday, I know You saw it all.

Yes Child, but I’m not giving up on you.

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6 NKJV

_____________________

Yes Child, I will complete My work in you. So you can rest assured I will have My way in your life. And you can rest assured I will complete My work of victory.

But Lord, I don’t understand. Why don’t You give up on me?

Because you are Mine. After all, you are marked by My blood covering your sin.

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ- to the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1:9-11 NIV

____________________

Child, I want you filled with the fruits of righteousness. Overall, I want you filled with My Presence, My Holy Spirit.

But Lord, how?

Through praise and worship. Then you will be filled with My joy, My love, and My Presence.

Because the Lord is on my side, I’m expecting a great 2020, full of weight losses and victorious wins. How about you? What do you expect for 2020?

So now, I’ve got my walking shoes on. And I’m ready to go forth toward my victory. What about you?

Cookies Of Shame

Cookies of shame, I’ve eaten them again. Not only were these cookies left over from Christmas, but they were bought at a 90% off sale after Christmas too. I thought I could just eat a few at a time. But Lord, here I am with cookie crumbs on my face. Ate too many. How do You stand me? I’m just like Esau. Only with me, it’s cookies instead of stew.

Child, I love you. And I’m not giving up on you for you are mine. I never give up on those who are Mine. You are marked with My Blood. No, you are not like Esau His heart was greedy. He wanted it all now. Jacob was cunning, but the heart of Esau was evil. He wanted power and was full of pride.

Lord, What’s Your Will?

Lord, You know all and see all. So help me become  what You want me to be. I realized I’ve wasted too much time watching Hallmark movies and ate too many Christmas treats during the holidays. I know You do have a purpose and a plan for me. Help me find that purpose, Your plan.

Cooked these in December – Glad they’re gone Now- No, I didn’t eat them all. Took some to family gatherings and gave some away too.

Forgiveness or Eat Your Anger

Forgiveness or eat your anger, which will it be? Since you get to choose, which will it be?

Last week, I found this “Tips on Forgiving”  stuck in my notebooks. Don’t know where it came from, but it’s wonderful advice. Since a lot of us, me included eat our anger, I thought this paper on forgiving would be good for us to chew on.

In order to make it easier for you to read, I retyped it. After you read each each line, stop and think, “How does this apply to me?” Then ask God to show you. After all, getting free from unforgiveness also can free us from compulsive overeating, especially due to unresolved anger.

-TIPS ON FORGIVING-

  1. Know that forgiveness is not forgetting.
  2. Know that forgiveness is a choice.
  3. Know that you have to acknowledge the pain.
  4. Know that forgiveness is incomplete unless you feel it; you must forgive them from your heart.
  5. Know that you cannot wait until you “feel like it”; you never will.
  6. Know that it is not about feelings; it is about freedom.
  7. Know that God will bring out what needs to be forgiven- if we let Him.
  8. Know that sometimes we are not MAD; we are sad and we need to process that.
  9. Know that it is natural to seek revenge; yet as believers, forgiveness is required.
  10. Know that He has already helped you to forgive- you do not need to ask again.
  11. Know that it is a hard choice to forgive- a choice of the will.
  12. Know that once you forgive- you can never again use it against them.
  13. Know that no one forgives without bearing the burden of the sin of the offender.
  14. Know that forgiveness is not for their sake; it is for your sake.
  15. Know that their response to your forgiveness is not the issue.
  16. Know that sometimes it is better to keep this forgiveness to yourself- they might not understand it.
  17. Know that you can forgive, because you have been forgiven.
  18. Know how to forgive much and ask forgiveness more.
  19. Know that to forgive yourself is to final realize that He really does love you.

This little card with the butterfly and angel pinned to it was a gift form two of my grandaughters. I love it. Enjoy the message.

Also below is a picture of a cross stitch piece of 1st Corinthians 13 bought from an estate sale.

The overwhelming message of I Corinthians 13 is all about love. After all, couldn’t we all use more love? Couldn’t we all give more love? In fact, it states that the greatest gift of all is love. Once you forgive others you are free to love, including to love yourself.

Isn’t it wonderful how God loves us? Certainly He never gives up on us , either. He forgives us, even though we don’t deserve it. I know I don’t. How about you? Have you ever asked for His forgiveness?  If not, why not now?

Just talk to Him for yourself, “Lord, I’ve messed up. I know You died for my sins, and I believe You rose from the dead, so I could live too. Would You forgive me and help me clean up all the mess-ups of my life? Come live in my heart. Help me to live for You.”

His forgiveness will lift the weight off your shoulders. Your body size may stay the same, but your heart will be fuller and your step will be lighter. Let me know how it went.

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 NKJV
