Last Friday ( Good Friday) feeling somewhat low, I walked through the neighborhood looking for signs of new life and hope.

Lord, I’m declaring today “Day One” of a my new maintenance plan. I want to finish losing this weight. It would be nice to say, “I’ve lost a 100 pounds,” but I know it’s just a number. Right now it seems I gained two pounds. Sigh.
My fingers are swollen and I feel fat. I weighed after my usual cups of coffee. Wait, . . . I weighed after drinking a pot of coffee. I should have known better. Sigh. 
Help me to walk in victory, victory in obedience to You and what You say, victory over food, and victory over the words and thoughts that pop in my head.
Lord, thank You for being my friend and helping me as I go forth. Direct me as how to please You in all I say and do. And yes, I am hungry for more of You. Teach me how to get full of You and all You have for me. Lord, fill me with Yourself.
This is my plan for my eating today, “Wait until I am hungry.” It seems logical, but Lord, I know what seems logical to us is not always logical to You. So, is this Your will for me?
You may try this for today.
Lord, I don’t think I’ve been overeating. (Eat only three meals with half-servings and no snacks.) Yes, I’ve stuck to the rules, but maybe I’ve eaten too many half-servings. Too many half servings is still too much even if it is a half serving. I know two halves make a whole serving and four halves make two full servings. Sigh. . . . 
Lord, I want You.
My child, I AM here.

Thank you. Lord, I want a “new” with You. Grant me a “new” beginning. Fill me with a new filling of You. I want the sweetness of You. I have tasted the sweetness of crème filling, but I want to taste more of Your sweetness. That is sweeter.
My child, I AM here and I will fill you with Myself. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.

Lord, there’s so much work to do. I have several blog posts started, but not finished. Ideas are swirling around in my head. Write this, write that. That’s a good idea. No wait, this is a better idea. Which one should I write first?
My wonderful blog friends have sent me several awards I need to answer. I so enjoy their praise and I do like being noticed. Everyone likes a pat on the back. They are wonderful with their words of praise to me. I do enjoy reading about their lives, both their struggles and their victories. I ‘m attached to several of my blog buddies.
But Lord, I feel overwhelmed and I don’t know where to begin. I don’t know what to say. I don’t know where to start. What do I tell them?
Several of my blogging friends have been more than generous in nominating me for seven different awards. I accept them all and plan to post about each one. Thank you so much, my dear blogging friends. I feel so blessed by all of you. It is such an honor to be recognized by your peers.

As most of you may know, God has allowed me to write a book, The God Plan, Daily Inspiration for Victory Over the Scales. Thank you Lord.
Since the release of this book on January 1, 2016, my life has become very busy and exciting. I’ve been invited to several churches both in town and out of my state to share this story of my weight loss ( 92 pounds) using God as my weight loss counselor.
I also make a Periscope posts Monday-Friday at 6 A.M. Central time under the name, Deborah C. Crocker. So in my defense I have become slightly preoccupied.
Hubby and I have returned from trip to Gatlinburg and Nashville, Tennessee. This trip was to share with another ministry the story of my weight loss healing and to share my books. I met some awesome people giving their life to help others.
I feel like a walking, talking miracle healed from obesity in the prime of my life. (60’s ?)Isn’t God just wonderful! I recommend using Him as your counselor too for whatever you need. He’s the best and your life will become full of joy.

The questions asked me:
- What is your favorite color? My favorite color is blue, the color of the ocean and the sky. Blue is a peaceful color. Couldn’t we all use a little peace in our lives?
- Does the color of your clothes reflect your mood for the day? Not necessarily, I just try to wear colors that makes me smile when I look in the mirror.
- What do you do when your mood is off- the-mark? I used to eat anything I could find and a lot of it. Now I read, blog, pray, sing, wash clothes, do dishes, etc. It seems there is always laundry to do. How could two people mess up so many clothes? And how did the sink get so full of dirty dishes? I think they are breeding in there.
- Why do you blog? In the beginning I blogged to give me something to do besides eat. I thought maybe it could help someone else too. Sometimes I write while Hubby is watching TV. I can’t stand most of what he watches on TV, its so boring. One time we were eating a meal and what do I see on that TV? A spider eating its meal too. Yuck! Gross!
- What sort of blogs do you like to read? I mostly enjoy reading blogs of people who are trying to lose weight as well. I enjoy making comments to encourage others. I also enjoy reading about the events of your life. Y’all have such interesting lives. How do you find time to blog? Oh, I just remembered about your recipes. After seeing pictures of what you cooked, I could eat the computer. It’s a good thing computer isn’t fattening. But it kinda tastes like plastic and metal. Not very good.
- How do you select the blogs you would follow? I look for those that are striving to lose weight too, those who worship and serve the same God as I, and those about food. God helped me lose 92 pounds
- Does offensive language on a blog post put you off? Yes, it does. As children we were taught that if someone used profanity, it was only because they weren’t smart enough to think of another word to use.
- What would romance mean for you? My Hubby got me a ring for our anniversary. He couldn’t save until our anniversary several months from now, but he was so excited that he gave it to me a couple of weeks ago. When he gave me the ring, he said, “You deserve it.” Now boys and girls, those words say romance to me more than the ring.
- Write a small poem about yourself: Debbie was fat. Losing weight with God He gave her a new bod Now she’s where’s it’s at And that’s a fact.
- Do you make New Year Resolutions? In past years I have. The number one resolution was to lose weight. But God has healed me of 92 pounds, so I don’t need that one. Since my book, “The God Plan” was released on January 1, 2016. I’ve been extremely busy, but it’s a good busy.
- Do you enjoy changes in your life or do you shy away from them? Since January 1st , God has brought about a lot of changes in my life and all of them are good.
Susieshy45, I hope you don’t mind if I change the rules to make it easier for all involved. I’m only going to ask 5 questions and pass the award to only five blog friends. Thank you Lord for this “Word” from You. Yes, I am hungry, feeling empty, needy, and greedy for You. I know more of Your Presence is what I need.
Yes, the trip was hard and I did eat some humble pie. But Hubby and I did enjoy our travels. The sites we saw were beautiful.
My child, I orchestrated that trip and your visit with the others yesterday as well. Even last night at the “Singing” when you were ashamed of being so sleepy. Others were saying how much they enjoyed feeling My Presence and all you felt was tired and sleepy. Yes, I am using all of these events to teach you more about Me. Yours is not to worry about what to say or who to see. Instead, you are to trust and obey Me, for I will lead you as long as you are willing to follow.
I am directing your steps. Instead of thinking about how tired you are, praise Me for your victories. For I have provided many and you will see them if only you open your eyes to look. I will organize your time if you make Me your first priority. I will direct your paths according to My plan.
Before you feed others, you must feed yourself of My Presence first. Remember how I told you to steal away moments to sneak off with Me?
Yes Sir.
You are to sneak, steal moments of your time to be with Me just like you plan times with your Hubby. You are to plan times with both of us without your cell phone or your work. You are to seek the precious sweetness of communion with both Me and Hubby. I am First, then him. This is your highest calling.
You have heard, “If Mama ain’t happy, nobody’s happy.” I’ll give you another saying, “If Mama ain’t full of My Presence, she can’t feed the others.” So stay full of Me. Stay full of My Word, stay full of praise for My victories. Even if you perceive your day as full of struggles, know that I have provided victories.
Therefore, instead of looking at the demands of your time, I say focus on My victories. You know, the ones I ‘ve already provided both now and for the future. I say “tithe” your time. The more you give to Me, the more I will increase what you have.
You need more time to accomplish your set tasks. Therefore, as you give your time to Me, I will increase your time available to complete these tasks.
But Lord, that’s 2 hours and 40 minutes. How can I do that? I feel as though I have no time now. I only have about 12 unfinished blog posts to complete.
That is your problem, My child. You are looking at your needs instead of looking to Me as your supplier. As you do the dishes, steal 5 minutes with Me. As you do the laundry, steal minutes with Me. While driving the car, steal minutes with Me.
Your mind is a wonderful thing. I know, for I created it. Instead of focusing on your “to do” list, commune with Me. Tithe your time for 40 days. Give Me the seed of your time and you will see what I will do. As you surrender and give to Me, I will increase your supply. Tasks will be finished and you will be amazed at how they get accomplished. I will multiply your seed of time with Me into a 100 fold of much increase. Now do as I say and watch what I will do.

Pecan waffle

Hubby bought a sausage dog from a street vendor for lunch and we split it.
For those inquiring minds who want to know, I didn’t gain weight on this trip. Didn’t lose either, stayed the same.

For dessert I had one bite of this fudge. When the clerk saw I ate only one bite, she said, “No one counts calories in Gatlinburg.” I smiled and told her, “I don’t count calories. This is all I want, just a taste.” (Thank you Lord.)

This has been our coldest day this winter so far, 37 degrees with the winds blowing outside. Brrrr! I imagine some of you are snowed in. Stay warm.
This is my Dad’s dog, Uggie. See that expression on his face. It seems that both he and I have the same opinion about cold weather. Ugh! When it gets cold, I have the same expression on my face. I also whine a lot.

Lord, long before the 92 pounds left , I was hopelessly tied up by the gluttony monster and he kept me trapped. He wasn’t about to let me go. I had given up with no hope of ever breaking free. Just like the elephant tied with a small rope to a stake in the ground. The gluttony monster kept me locked in the cage of defeat. Happy New Year!
It’s a new day! It’s a new beginning! My God is a God of second chances. With this new year He is giving me more second chances.
This is a link to the new Victory Calendar for January 2016. I pray it works better for you than it did for me. I have some helpful hints at the bottom of this post. Hopefully they will work for you.
Which way will you choose, the dark side or the side of the light?
Choose Me and your future will be bright. I will teach you the way of the light. Then you will use the light, My light to spread forth My power for others. I am the Almighty Force. I am the Way.
Partake of My Spirit and you will reflect My glory. My child, you have heard, “May the force be with you.” I am the Force. Seek Me, the eternal Force and I will 
bring you strength and power. Use it for the good side. Use My force and My power to bring forth My will. When the Force is with you (My Power), then your future is unlimited. There is no limit for I am the Force. Go forth in My power.
I AM, therefore you will be.
Your light saber, your sword is My Word. Use My Word to defeat your enemies, the enemies of your soul and the enemies of your future. Eat of My Word and you will be full. Fill yourself with My Spirit and the Force will be with you. Speak the language I give to you and they will hear. My glory will come.
Lord, thank you for those encouraging words. Help me to always look to You. I want to see Your glory.
