Celebrate National Food Day
October 24 was “National Food Day.” The newscaster on television said so. After I heard that good news, I got all excited about a day to celebrate food. Wow! What a wonderful idea. How can I celebrate? 
So . . . after thinking about it, I came up with an exciting plan to celebrate. It’ll surprise you. So . . . can you guess what I did to celebrate?
If you will just stop overeating, you will lose weight.
But Lord, what do You mean?
If you will do as I told you before, eat three meals a day with half portions and no snacks, then you will lose weight.
photo by ACChild, you want to lose weight, but I want to strengthen your spiritual listening skills. I want to make you strong. At this time you see yourself as weak, defeated, and a disappointment to Me.
Just as Gideon said he was the least of the least, you think the same about yourself because you are oppressed by your own personal Midianites.
But My child, I say to you, “O Mighty Warrior.” Come out of hiding and come forth to your victory, the one I have already planned for you.
photo by ACChild, every time you reach for extra food whether it’s a second serving, an excess serving, or a snack serving, you open the door for compulsive overeating. Child, this happens every time and you feel trapped in despair. You feel that you cannot stop overeating.
But My child, I have come forth to set you free. Just as I told Gideon, I’ll tell you, “I will be with you. You will defeat your personal Midianites.”

Child, you will have a sign. As you listen to Me, follow My instructions, and eat in submission to My orders, then your scales will go down in number. This I promise you. In fact, I do not lie and I always keep My promises. Once I speak, they come forth.
Now I say to you, ‘Get up out of this hole you dug for yourself.
I have already given you victory for I am with you and I am Victory. Now go forth and walk in your personal victory.

So Lord, what can I do to break this cycle of losing weight, binge eat, gaining weight, experience sorrow, repent, lose weight, binge, and repeat again?
Child, I’ll break this cycle for you.

Lord, in this verse You were talking to “Doubting Thomas” after You revealed Yourself to him.
But now I’m asking for help. Help me hold on and keep believing those scales will go down.

Lord, what do You want to talk about?
You, I want you.
Sir? What about me?
One day at a time, one moment at a time, focus on My Presence for I am with you leading and guiding you each step of the way.
As I look back on my life Lord, I’ve made so many wrong choices and so many mistakes. I’ve messed up so much, and lost so many opportunities with my negative thinking. You’ve opened doors for me. Then I shut them with my stinking thinking.
But Child, come to Me now. Humble yourself before Me. Seek My will. Ask and you’ll receive My direction for all that concerns you. I’ll lead you if you’ll listen. Child, I’m here for you. Just come to Me in humble adoration for I am your source. I am your all. If you listen, I will lead. 
To begin with Lord, open my ears so I can hear Your voice as You speak to my heart. Then help me to listen. At times I’ve been so messed up. So Lord, I need You.
Child, I’m here for you and I love you. All you see now are your failures. but I’m an expert at turning failures inside out. Then I create success and victory out of those failures. So rejoice if you consider your life a failure, for now I have something to work with- you!
When I cried out for help, You answered me . Thank you Lord.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will guide you with My eye. Psalm 32:8 NKJV
Temptation, everywhere I look. Lord help me. Forgive my stupid sins. Help me to please You in all I do, don’t do, say, don’t say, eat, don’t eat, and even what I think, or don’t think. Fill me with a greater desire for You versus anything else, even my food. Let me feed on You Presence. Thanks for loving me even though I don’t deserve it.
