CONFESSION AND GOD'S WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Here I am again Lord, all bloated, full, miserable, and ashamed wondering,”How did I get here?” Lord, I feel as though my overeating has created a gulf between me and You. I feel that as I overfed my fleshly desires, your presence left .Lord, I did say yesterday that I God's Word is encouragement!wanted to be free of this bondage, but last night there I was in the kitchen stuffing my face until well after 10p.m. Oh Lord, how can I ever break free from this vicious cycle of defeat?

II Corth. 5:9 Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent to be well pleasing to Him. (NKJV)

Lord, I have not pleased You, but rather I have pleased myself with everything I ate. Now Lord, I want to please You. Please let not these be just written words but rather let this be a true heart commitment! Help me, Lord, to please You. I want to be full of your Spirit, not this food! I want to be led by your Spirit, not my wish to overeat! Oh Lord, what do I do? Is there any hope for me?

(Yes, my child, I have not given up on you. Submit yourself to Me and then you will see what I will do. My child,I am all that you need.)

     Lord, I have no self-control!

(My child, I have more control than you will ever need.)

But Lord, I have come to You over and over asking forgiveness for this sin, and yet, I return back to the feeding trough over and over.

(Yes, my child, and I have forgiven you over and over because I love you, my child. I have not given up on you! I will yet finish this work that I have started within you. I will yet finish this work that I have begun!)

Phil.1:6 NKJV:  Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

(Yes, my child, I will finish the work I began in you. But it will be “I” that will do this, not you! Yes, you are truly right when you say, “I don’t have the willpower”. BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, “I HAVE THE POWER!”
Come unto Me, eat at My table, for the food that I have is sweet and fulfilling. Come my child, eat what I have prepared for you. It is beyond your wildest dreams! It is the best! BELIEVE! Come to Me, my child, come eat at My table.)

Zech.4:6 NKJV: . . .  Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord Almighty.

(You will succeed because of my Spirit, though you are few and weak. My child, only through Me will you succeed! Come to Me, my child, surrender your desires to Me and then you will see what I will do. Through my Spirit, success will come!)
